🌲🧙‍♀️✨ A magical day exploring the Room on the Broom Trail at Delamere Forest!

We searched for the Witch’s wand, hat and bow, collected spell ingredients and enjoyed the interactive woodland activities along the way.

Days like this are fantastic for developing imagination, problem-solving, communication, confidence and gross motor skills, all while encouraging a love of the outdoors. 🌿💚

A wonderful adventure that I’d definitely recommend for families with little ones!

We hadn’t planned a Stick Man day… but that’s the beauty of following children’s interests. 💚

A morning spent throwing sticks into the brook sparked lots of questions and excitement, so we collected some to take home. We shared the Stick Man story, watched the animation and then created our own Stick Men using the sticks and leaves we’d found on our adventure.

By following their curiosity, we enjoyed a day full of:
💚 Exploring nature
💚 Developing language through storytelling
💚 Encouraging creativity
💚 Strengthening fine motor skills
💚 Making meaningful connections between outdoor experiences and books

Some of the best learning happens when we simply follow where children’s imaginations lead.

Tiny seeds, big discoveries! 🌱

Today we planted cress seeds and began our very own growing experiment. Using pipettes, cotton wool and lots of concentration, little hands carefully added water before placing the seeds in the sunshine to grow.

This simple activity supported:
🌿 Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
💧 Early science as we explored what plants need to grow
🌞 Understanding of the world through observing change over time
🗣️ New vocabulary such as seed, grow, roots, water and sunlight
💚 Patience, curiosity and a sense of responsibility as we care for our plants each day.

We can’t wait to see the first green shoots appear! 🌱✨

We’ve been busy in the kitchen today making our own peanut butter granola bars 🥜🍫

The children loved getting involved, mixing, pressing and exploring all the different textures. A lovely hands on activity supporting fine motor skills, confidence and turn taking.

We’ll be sending these home for them to enjoy 🤍

A lovely busy morning at gymnastics today! 🤸‍♀️

The children loved the bouncy castle, balance beams, trampolines, ball pit and ride-ons. The climbing frame and slide were definitely favourites too! We also enjoyed some Easter-themed activities which added to the fun.

A great morning burning off energy, building confidence and, most importantly, having lots of fun 🐣✨
