Capped off an awesome weekend in London with a Tarik Hopstock and seminar. Some cool details on the lapel, great because we have been using them in class!
Finished off with some mega rounds with some top black belts.

Default medals for the kids today. Plenty to work on but always proud to see students stepping up to compete. Very often it is small margins. We learn, get back to training and we go again. Great future ahead for these 2 👏👏

IBJJF London Open - day 1 Adults
Gold for Ashlie, a brilliant performance. Ashlie has had a tough start to purple belt but has managed to turn it around with a silver in Brazil and a gold today. Proof that hard work pays off!
Carl Riva - Silver today, a points win in the semi final and then an advantage loss in the final. A tough one as the guy didn't really do anything to Carl. Carl got a disadvantage for a trouser grip.
Jamie Wright- default Gold. The opponent didn't turn up. Super frustrating so Jamie picked up hia ranking points.
Hamza Aman - first round loss. A tough opponent but plenty of data to take sway to worl on and make improvements.
Regardless of results, always a top weekend away with the team as always.
Kids tomorrow, let's go!

Get them training, get them active. Get them talking to people face to face. Build resilience and confidence. Learn some self defence. If you don't want this for your child, should you be a parent 🤔

Highlight from IBJJF Europeans in 2023, my first Euros at Black Belt.
Won 3 matches that day. 2 by submission.
This was a great match. Very backwards and forwards. The guy almost broke my foot but managed to get the job done in the end.
Foot was wrecked for a few weeks after this. It was worth it though..just!
