Dramatis - Bognor Welcome to Dramatis drama school, where we transform children’s confidence through our unique use of Pretend Play.

Join us for Drama Classes (on Mondays and Saturdays) or Holiday and School Workshops throughout the year. We put Pretend Play (also known as ‘imaginative’, ‘role’, or ‘make-believe’ play) at the heart of our programme. During our classes and workshops, we encourage children’s innate instinct to play. Our programme sees us facilitate energiser games, drama exercises and Pretend Play within a structured and supportive environment. Rather than assign characters or follow a set script, we let children take the lead. Using thoughtful prompts and gentle questioning, we empower children to create (and share) their own (totally unique!) stories. The Dramatis process is A LOT of fun, but it’s not just play for play’s sake…

Our classes and workshops will transform your child’s confidence. We’ve watched as pupils have gone from being too scared to make eye contact, to actively starting conversations. From being too shy to talk in class, to being excited to express their ideas to the group. From being nervous to perform in front of others, to happily taking centre stage. Dramatis is owned and run by Principal Suzy – an ATCL Trinity and LAMDA qualified teacher with over 20 years teaching experience in the education and care sectors.

After an incredible 8 years of working with so many amazing children, we’re taking a little break to reconfigure our programme and come back with something even more exciting! 🚀

A huge THANK YOU to all the schools, parents, and incredible young people we’ve had the joy of teaching. Your support has meant the world, and we can’t wait to share what’s next!

During Dramatis classes, it’s happy days always 😁

Each week, in addition to drama games and exercises, we give pupils a stimulus so they can create their own (totally unique!) scene.

We then use thoughtful prompts and gentle questioning to help children develop what they are creating.

It’s a LOT of fun but it’s not just play for play’s sake...
