Stepping Stones Day Nursery, Bognor Regis

Today we had our new friends from PALS Services come to visit us. The children thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the clients and showing off their colouring skills. We are already looking forward to their next visit.

Today we wished Chrissie well on the start of her journey to motherhood. We will all miss her very much but cannot wait to meet her new arrival very soon 👶🏼 now, do we think she’s having a girl or a boy? 💗💙

Today we welcomed back Sophia after finishing her chemotherapy treatment. To celebrate the Pre-School Unit have had a pink day which is Sophia's favourite colour.
A big Thank you to the Arena Sports Centre who provided us with some pink ice cream which the children enjoyed very much!

Today we had our final 'Room on the Broom' Day this term and we used our magic to create our own potions ! “Iggety, ziggety, zaggety, ZOOM!” 🪄💫✨

The Starfish and Jellyfish children enjoyed the Room on the Broom Day yesterday 🌟✨🌟
We will be celebrating the end of this core book with a final magical day next Thursday (1st December) we look forward to seeing all of the costumes again.

PCSO Wicks & PCSO Grant attended Stepping Stones nursery in Bognor Regis, to talk about their jobs and stranger danger .

The children made fingerprint book marks and colouring before climbing into a police car.

Today is all about Spots and Pyjamas as we finish our Pudsey week supporting Children in Need!

Today we have been celebrating Rememberance Day by exploring red activities and making Poppies.
We have made poppies with playdough, paint and even created Poppy Pizzas!
The Pre school children have used the interactive screens to learn more about Rememberance Day by watching the Cbeebies 'Poppies' animation.

It's Room on the Broom Day in our Pre-School unit! 🌟🧙‍♀️ 🪄🔥

This year on Remembrance Day (Friday 11th November) we will be having a 🔴Red🔴day in support of the Royal British Legion and we encourage all the children to join us in wearing something red on this day and donate to the poppy appeal.
We also have a poppy collection located in our main office if you would like to donate via us this year.

This is also a fundraising event and so far we have raised £115!

The children have been busy making a Christmas card with their key person at nursery. These designs can be turned into personalised Christmas cards, Gift labels, Wrapping Paper and Mugs via the Cauliflower Christmas Project company.

Over the next week, you will be shown your child's design and if you would like to make an order all the details you need will be on the order form.

A percentage of every order will help raise funds for the nursery 😀

🌟If you would like to make a order please ensure you RETURN your child's order form and Christmas Design by Friday 21st October🌟
So that you don't need to worry about returning the form on time, we are encouraging all parents to take a photo of the order form instead, therefore please ensure you have your phone with you when you come to nursery 📸

Orders will be delivered by the beginning of December 🎅⛄🎁🎄

This week we are on Menu B of the Zebedees new Autumn/Winter Menu.
The new purple menu cards are available from nursery if you would like one for home, just ask a member of staff if you haven't already got one 😋 🍽️

We are currently advertising for a level 3 qualified full time Room Leader (Maternity Cover- 1 year with the possibility of this being extended or made permanent)

We will do everything we can to keep the children as comfortable as possible however our rooms do become very hot even with all our summer strategies!

💦 We will be doing lots of water play to help keep cool, therefore please pack a few extra changes of clothes.
☀️ Please help us by applying suncream before your child attends nursery so we can get out into the gardens as quickly as possible before things get too warm!
🚰We suggest all children bring a named water bottle and sunhat with them and wear light clothing which covers the shoulders.
👏A Big THANK YOU to the Arena Sports Center who have been allowing us to use their facilities when they are free so that some of our children have been able to play out of the direct sunshine fir a little while.

We will be constantly reviewing our coping strategies throughout this heatwave to ensure the health and safety of all the children and staff.
