Today we had a Hartbeeps Easter Special session which all the children enjoyed. We danced with Lola the flamingo, shook our Easter eggs to music whilst meeting flora the Chicken!
We are pleased to announce that Hartbeeps will once again become a regular activity and look forward to welcoming Becky back soon for lots more fun with songs, dancing and music 🎶

It's the end of an era for Lorraine as her time as manager comes to an end after 32 years and she sails away on one of her many cruises to start her well deserved retirement 🛳️⚓
We wanted to share with you some photos of the different events which have taken place over the last couple of weeks which I'm sure the children have been talking about at home.
32 years is an amazing achievement and we will never forgot you Lorraine. Happy Retirement 🎉

I would like to say a huge thank you to all of the Stepping Stones families past and present for making my time at Stepping Stones so special 🥰 I have been overwhelmed with messages of thanks and well wishes for my retirement and I will treasure my Stepping Stones keepsakes and gifts. I know the nursery is in safe hands and I will be sure to come back and visit between cruises!

Today we said goodbye to our very special manager of 32 years and of course we have a Toby song for the occasion!

Today the Puffin’s went on an adventure to the forest area at Southway school. This was linked to their core book this term ‘Whatever Next’ by Jill Murphy. The children took along their cuddly toys for a pic nic under the trees. We even heard an aeroplane roaring through the sky. The children listened to the story whilst snacking on biscuits and apple, just like baby bear did on the moon. They enjoyed exploring the natural world and making rockets with the sticks they found. 🍁 🍃 🍁 🌳 ✈️ 🐻 📕 🍏 🍪

Our little friend, Ollie, in the Starfish room has a big brother called Max who is raising money for a charity very close to his family’s heart. Please see the link below, if anyone would like to contribute it would be very much appreciated.

Today the Starfish children walked to the shop with their shopping lists to get some fruit and vegetables. This is linked to their core book this term ‘Supertato’. The children walked beautifully and used their listening ears too. We even saw Jenny and baby Lola on our walk.

The puffin room have been enjoying their new core book for the term - Whatever Next by Jill Murphy. The children have enjoyed lots of mark making activities and have been recreating parts of the story within their role play, making rockets from boxes to visit them moon - don't forget your space helmets everyone 🌟🐻🚀🥪🌟

Last week the Starfish children had their turn to visit South Way library. They all enjoyed freely choosing books, looking at books both alone and with friends and were super stars at finding the pictures beginning with ‘m’. We can’t wait to visit again 📚 📚 📚
