Good morning all. We hope you have all enjoyed your Easter break. A reminder to please apply suncream to your child prior to arriving at Preschool, and we will reapply later in the day. Can you please bring a named bottle to stay at Preschool. Keep an eye on the weather as its changable and water proofs may still be required, as we spend a lot of time outdoors and need to dress appropriately and be prepared as this is England after all!!! πŸ˜πŸ–πŸŒžπŸŒˆβ˜‚οΈπŸŒ§
Thank you

"The best wedding yet, a wedding no one will ever forget!" β€πŸ’

Next week (week beginning 2nd of March) we will be celebrating world book week, we will be focusing on The Scarecrows Wedding by Julia Donaldson as this links in with the farm topic. We would like to invite the children to dress up on Wednesday, Thursday and/or Friday in either something from the scarecrows wedding or any favourite character. Please also bring in a NAMED book so that we can talk to the children about their favourite story books.

Hello all, we are back tomorrow, Monday 23rd February 8:45am, ready to get going again!
Please can we remind everybody to bring the children in suited and booted as we are straight out exploring and it is very wet and muddy in Forest school and the garden (that's the fun part).
Ensure your child has appropriate clothing for the weather, we no longer have lots of spare clothes.
Please name everything as children have similar items
Spare clothes for their draw, if you haven't already.
Indoor shoes/slippers if you took them home
Fruit snack everyday, named
No home toys into preschool
Only ONE treat in their lunch box as per the Healthy eating policy.

We are looking forward to welcoming you all back to Preschool.

Kind regards
The Preschool Team

🚜🌾 Our Farm Topic So Far! πŸ‘πŸ₯•
What a fantastic time we’ve been having exploring life on the farm! The children have been busy learning all about where our food comes from and the important role farmers play in caring for animals and growing crops.
So far, we have:
🍎 Explored a variety of farm fruits and vegetables – talking about how they grow and why they’re good for us
πŸ‘ Learned about sheep shearing and had a go at β€œshearing” our very own woolly sheep!
🚜 Taken a closer look at tractors and how they help farmers with their important jobs
πŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎπŸ‘¨β€πŸŒΎ Discovered the many roles of a farmer and why their work is so important
The children have shown such curiosity, asked thoughtful questions, and enjoyed lots of hands-on learning along the way. We’re so proud of their enthusiasm!
Take a closer look at what we've been up too...🌟

Do you have any unused wallpaper taking up some space at home?
We are after some wall paper\lining paper for pre school for the children to get crafty on.
If you have anything spare and don't mind donating please could you bring it into pre school.
Thank you

The Butterflies Room's new topic is 'On The Farm 🚜'. This week we had a special visit from Barfoots and they brought along lots of their amazing produce. A big thank you to Kim for coming into speak to the children, they've enjoyed taste testing and exploring the yummy vegetables.

Happy New Year!
Welcome to 2026 at Yapton Preschool.

Another trip around the sun
Ready again, to have some fun.
With this mind, we need to say
Some rules we have, for us to play!

We are looking forward to welcoming the children back to preschool, and meeting all the new starters. Please ensure you send your child in to preschool with the following!

Waterproof warm winter coat.
Waterproof trousers/rain suit
Wellies
Hats
Mittens
Appropriate spare clothes for their draws
Please provide clothing layers.
Layers on your child rather than one chunky jumper. Layers can be added or removed and are easier to manage keeping your child at a comfortable temperature indoors and outdoors.
Indoor shoes.

Please bring a fruit or vegetable snack.

NAME EVERYTHING, some children have the same items and we can not get lost items back to you if you do not name it.

The weather looks beautiful from behind the glass, however, it is very cold and we access the garden and forest school area all the time and the children do love to sit on the floors, climb through tunnels, investigate ice and jump on muddy puddles. Please ensure your child has these winter essentials everyday.

Thank you for your support, looking forward to seeing you on Monday 5th January 2026!!!
