_ BREAKING NEWS——URGENT ATTENTION PLEASE
This morning I have received a message from The Whitehouse in Washington it reads the following:-
"It has come to the attention of President Donald J Trump that the classes running in Pagham/Aldwick (UK) under the name of Gently Fit Pilates - are considered the best in the land, in fact the best in the world. Every one is saying they are the best, no one else runs classes like them. Mr Trump now remembers that he actually set these classes up some years ago with the current owner and therefore requests that the organisation is renamed. Please note that from now on Gently Fit Pilates will be called “Donald J Trump Pilates”. You know it makes sense?

Hope you are enjoying these lovely sunny Spring days.
It’s that time of year again when Monday classes become a bit sparse so here is a reminder of the up and coming Bank Holidays:-
Monday 21st April
Monday 5th May
Monday 26th May
There will be no classes on those days but the Tuesday and Wednesday sessions will run as normal and any Monday people are very welcome to join us

Weight training in menopause: the stats are in.
Menopause fitness specialists have been talking for years about the importance of weight/resistance training to keep your body healthy when your hormones decline, but the University of Exeter recently put some meat on the claims.
More than 70 women took part in a study, where one group simply exercised, and the other group completed a resistance training programme.
Compared to the general exercise group, the resistance training group experienced:
19% increase in hip function and lower body strength
21% increase in full-body flexibility
10% increase in dynamic balance, mobility, and stability

At our pre-Christmas Fayre on Wednesday 18th we managed to raise just over £100 which was split between The Cat and Rabbit Rescue and Lavant Ward at St Richards Hospital for Stroke recovery patients. Well done to the clever girls who made cakes and crafts and thank you to all who came along and/or supported the worthy causes.
