Rose Green Junior School This official page provides information and celebrates achievements of those at RGJS. School (locally known as the Sefter School) which was erected in 1825.

The present school was opened on 14th September 1951 to replace the Pagham C.E. From 1825 to 1951 the Pagham School provided education for the children of Pagham, Nyetimber, Rose Green and Lagness. The present catchment area for the school also includes part of Aldwick. On 1st January 1974 Rose Green Primary School ceased to be a combined junior and infant school when Rose Green Infant School in Hawkins Close was opened. In 2001 we celebrated 50 years of schooling on our present site. On 1st December 2014, Rose Green Junior School converted to an Academy and joined Schoolsworks Academy Trust.

Today we said goodbye to our incredible Year 6 cohort. As a school, we couldn’t be any more proud of the young people they have become and how they have represented our school. All of our staff have very fond memories of this group of children and we will miss them dearly.

Thank you ever so much for all of our gifts and cards. However, our favourite gift was being able to share a school year with these wonderful characters!

We hope you start your Year 7 journey with confidence and positivity.

It looks like we’re going to have a spell of warm weather this week! With this in mind, please can we remind you to send your child to school wearing suncream and with some to reapply at lunchtime. Children cannot share suncream.

We would also strongly advise your child has a hat and sunglasses to put on.

Please also ensure that they have their named water bottles in school each day to keep hydrated.

SUMMER FAIR

On Friday night we held our ‘Lost in Space’ Summer Fair and what a fantastic evening it was!

Thank you so much to all the volunteers who worked to make this happen - without you events like these could not happen.

Thank you to all the children who danced on the night and entered our art and baking competitions. Congratulations to our winners.

Thank you to every business who donated a prize towards our raffle and to our generous sponsors: Stock Blinds, The Summer Berry Co, Coastline Bathrooms, Bradley Electrical, Pathway Coaching and Henry Adams. Thank you to Barfoots, The Summer Berry Company, Vitacress and Pagham Beach Cafe for supplying your produce.

Thank you to our wonderful staff -especially those who took numerous wet sponges to the face in ‘The Prism’.

Finally, thank you to everyone who came along to support on the night!

We made the very £5,000 on the night! Through our fundraising this year, we will be renovating our pond area which will provide a wonderful space for the children to use.

We look forward to being able to provide more exciting items and experiences for our children to enjoy.
