Job Advertisement: Lunch Cover & Kitchen Assistant

Bright Starts Day Nursery is looking for a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team in a position as Lunch Cover & Kitchen Assistant.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work in an early years environment, supporting both our children and staff during busy lunchtime periods.

The role is to:
Supervise and engage with children during lunchtime.
Support keyworkers in their daily routines and responsibilities.
Encourage positive eating habits and promote a calm, enjoyable mealtime environment.
Assist with hygiene routines, including handwashing and tidying up after meals.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times.
Kitchen Assistant Duties:
Assist with the preparation and serving of meals and snacks.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
Follow food safety guidelines and nursery policies.
Help with washing up, cleaning surfaces, and general kitchen organisation.

Person Specification :
Understanding of basic hygiene and food safety practices.
First Aid training is desirable (training opportunities may be provided).
