Hi Guys, and welcome to the (soon to be official) page for the University student gliding arm of the Bognor Regis Gliding Club! Most of you would have signed up at the freshers fair either at the Chichester Campus or Bognor campus, so this page is going to be our main directory for everything a student glider will need. See you all in the sky soon! Why Bognor Regis Gliding Club? Situated on the beautiful south coast, and only a few miles from Southdowns National Park. BRGC is one of the UKβs newest gliding clubs, uniquely offering training via self launching motor glider by a fully qualified CAA Flight Instructor. Gliding is an inspiring sport for men and women of all ages, and is not as expensive as you might think. Whether youβre new to gliding, already learning to fly or an experienced pilot looking for a club that does things differently, we look forward to welcoming you to Bognor Regis Gliding Club. Imagine soaring through the air looking down on the picturesque south coast. If flying high & soaring with the birds appeals to you, or you simply want to have an unforgettable experience, then you have come to the right place! Weather permitting, our asphalt surface allows us to operate all year round. Based at LEC Airfield, and commenced operations in October 2016. CFI, Julian Hitchcock is a full BGA category instructor with over 2,500 hours of flying experience and is a qualified BGA Level 3 Motor Glider Instructor, and a CAA SLMG FI, and is ably assisted by a team of professional and volunteer instructors.
