Just a reminder that Monday 5th June
is an INSET day.
βοΈπ§΄π
ποΈFive current buns was our song of the week πΆ where children enjoyed taking part in group singing, and some older ones who enjoyed taking the lead to show our younger children how the song goes.
The children understood the concept of βone lessβ when working out how many current buns they had left. βοΈ
Children were πΆ singing and acting π the rhyme out together, thinking carefully about how many buns are left at the end. The children also had a coin to pay for their current bun π°
The children really enjoyed the Car wash π!
Bubbly water and water sprays were provided for children to role play a car wash experience, some even turning the car upside down to wash it! This was amazing for their gross and fine motor skills π¦π«§π
Weβre going on a bug hunt πͺ±ππ
Children were engrossed in looking for bugs but wanted to make sure they were safe too. After making a little bug garden we explored different mini-beastβs and what is different about them, things they like to eat and where they like to live.
We have had a range of conversations around our ocean animals, the children have shown great knowledge of what they already know βdid you know this bit on the narwhale is actually a toothβ ππ π¬π‘
As the sun is now joining us π
Please can I remind parents/carers to send your child in with a sun hat and apply sun cream before preschool π§’π§΄
Thank you π€
π¬π§πKINGβS CORONATIONππ¬π§
This week we have been learning all about the Kingβs coronation.
π¬π§We have had lots of fun exploring in the Union Jack coloured rice tuff tray
π Children have decorated their own crowns.
π¬π§ Children also had the opportunity to decorate a biscuit fit for a king, queen, prince or princess!
β€οΈππ This coming week we will have activities out celebrating the Holi festival, this is a Hindu festival that marks the arrival of spring. πππ§‘
π What a lovely week we had last week sharing your children's favourite books with them! π
Reading from a young age helps
-develop speech and language,
-promote brain development and imagination,
-develops language and emotions, also
-strengthens relationships by giving children something to talk about with you and their peers.
As well as reading to your child, you can let them talk you through the book and what happens (if itβs a familiar book to them). Another great way to get your child involved with reading and gain an interest in books is for your child to tell you a story by telling you whatβs happening in the pictures.
Here are some of the amazing books we shared together! π
