🚒 What an incredible achievement! 👏

Well done to our Fire Cadet Young Leaders, Katie and Mishi, who today completed 110 flights of stairs wearing fire kit and a BA set, in memory of the firefighters who lost their lives on 9/11.

As well as taking on this huge challenge, they also raised money for The Fire Fighters Charity. ❤️

We are incredibly proud of you both, what an amazing effort and a fantastic way to remember and honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice. 👏🚒

🚒 We’re back! 🔥

The Fire Cadets had their first session back after the summer tonight, and what a way to get back into it!

We started with knots and pitching the ladder, before putting those new skills to the test by learning how to haul equipment up to the first floor using the ropes. 🪢🪜

Plenty of teamwork, communication and practical skills on show and it was great to have everyone back! 💪🔥

🔥 What a summer it’s been for the Targeted Education Team! ☀️

It’s been a busy few months with three weeks of our Fuel Course, water safety sessions, fire safety sessions, events and all our usual Firewise sessions continuing throughout the summer! 🚒💦

The team did manage to squeeze in some well-earned annual leave and are now feeling refreshed, recharged and ready for the new school year! 💪

And it’s going to be a busy one… with plenty more education sessions, events and activities ahead, plus we’re looking forward to welcoming our Fire Cadets back for their final term! 👩‍🚒👨‍🚒

What a fantastic day at Chichester’s Emergency Services Day! 🚒

Our Fire Cadets showcased their hose running skills in front of hundreds of people, helped children on and off the fire engine, ran our new Hook a Duck activity, and shared important fire, road and water safety advice with visitors throughout the day.

A huge well done to all our cadets for being fantastic ambassadors! 👏

What a great way to end the term! ☀️⛺🍕

Our cadets took on a quiz to earn points for shelter-building equipment before putting their creations to the test to see who stayed dry! 🌧️ A well-earned pizza rounded off a fantastic last session.

Next stop: Chichester Emergency Services Day 🚑 🚒🚓 We can’t wait, and we’ll see all our cadets again in September. Have a brilliant summer! ☀️

🚒🤝👮 Teamwork in action! Over the last couple of weeks we’ve welcomed the Police Cadets to the station, giving them a tour and letting our Fire Cadets show them the ropes of hose running. We can’t wait to visit the police station in September and learn more about their role!

Our Fire Cadets have also been learning about specialist service vehicles and putting their creativity to the test by designing their own upgrades. The winning idea? A bourbon biscuit blaster… now that’s an innovation we can all get behind! 🍪🚒

Recently, our cadets completed a series of sessions with the Resilience and Emergency Team, learning about the vital support they provide during incidents across the county. 🚨

The programme concluded with a practical exercise, where the cadets ran their own Community Hub, putting their new knowledge and teamwork skills into action.

The cadets were fantastic throughout and, along the way, also achieved their Duke of Cornwall Award. 👏

A huge thank you to the Resilience and Emergency Team for sharing their time, expertise, and valuable insight. It was an inspiring experience for everyone involved!
