So some of you know my son Nathan. He's helped out with home ed, after school clubs and summer camp sessions.

Before he could walk he's been obsessed with dancing and music, it's in his soul. I enrolled him in dance classes and he really thrived. I let him lead the way with what he was passionate about and he found his way into street dance.

This year he again qualified to compete in the world street dance championships held in Blackpool. 10,000 dancers came from 30 countries across the globe to compete.

Nathan competed in duos with his friend and reached the semi finals...... he also competed in solos and came SECOND in his category!🙌🥇🏆🌎 And then he competed with his crew. They went into the finals on Sunday in 5th place and then WON it!! His crew, KOD, are now WORLD CHAMPIONS!!! 🏆🥇🌎

So, let your child follow their dreams. Tell them how clever, talented and wonderful they are. Who knows where it might lead?

This week was our things that go! Themed summer camp 👩‍🔬🚀🐈‍⬛️

We created carrot cars (and raced them), spitfires, and helicopters, we experimented with cars driving on different surfaces, pop rockets and bouncy balls, and we did parachute and boat challenges. Such a busy day!

Next week we will be detectives solving a mystery at our forensics week.

Yesterday was our crazy chemistry summer science camp 👩‍🔬🚀🐈‍⬛️🧪

We learnt about colour changing potions, fizzy reactions, crystallisation painting, oobleck, making ice cream and crunchy slime! Such a busy messy session! 😆

Today's science camp theme was brilliant bodies! 👩‍🔬🐈‍⬛️🚀

The group were so creative today, I was astounded at all thr creation They all made!

We learnt about left over evolutionary traits, human anatomy, the five sense, the blood, muscles, fitness testing among other activities, experiments and crafts! We packed so much in!

Next week is crazy chemistry! I can't wait! 😁🧪👩‍🔬

Yesterday was our first summer science camp and we had so much fun it went by in a flash!

My favourite comment from one of the children was they'd learnt 'learning is fun' 💕🙌👩‍🔬🐈‍⬛️🚀

Yesterday's theme was lost in space! And we packed the day full of fun experiments, activities and crafts.
Our experiments and activities included-

-making our own planets
- making and racing rockets
-learning about craters on Mercury
- learning about carbon dioxide on Venus
- making chromatography earths
-making our own Martians
- making swirling stormy Jupiter's
- learning about Saturn's rings
- making Uranus clouds
- creating our own Neptune's

Next week's theme is all about the body

This week was the last week of the academic year and marks TWO YEARS of curious cats!

Forever grateful to Little Piggies Cafe for giving me my first opportunity to try out my curious cats sessions. And to everyone since then that have supported curious cats! It's been a very steep learning curve and it's been so exciting to see my little business idea grow and evolve over time.

This week was our last ever home ed and after school science club sessions at St Mary's Centre, Felpham.

We had so much fun making LED torches, mazes, boats and ice cream! 🔦🚤🍨

Yikes! I've just noticed last week's science club post didn't save!!!! 😱

Here it is! It was the first of our two summer fun sessions focusing on experimenting, engineering and creating.

We planted seeds in pots and discussed what they needed to grow, we made sand slime and experimented how adding sand effected the stretchiness and the children then did their own engineering challenge and created some incredible solutions to challenges. So very proud of them! 😁👩‍🔬🐈‍⬛️🚀

This week was our last nyewood Infants school after school club this term! 👩‍🔬🚀🐈‍⬛️

Our theme was Jack and the beanstalk. We learnt about making magic beans move up and down using a chemical reaction, then we planted our own special magic beans, before finally finishing off with making exploding magic eggs!

Science club will resume in September so keep your peepers peeled for the email as it gets booked up quickly!!

Wednesday afternoon home ed and after school science clubs theme was Jack and the beanstalk this week.

We wentbon an adventure and made magic beans, built beanstalks, experimented with magic eggs and finished with treasure zip wires! 👩‍🔬🚀🐈‍⬛️

We experimented with building designs to withstand earthquakes, made erupting slime volcanoes and finished with making some giant erupting volcanoes 🌋

We learnt about ocean zones and which creatures live in them, about octopuses not having bones, and all about barnacles! 🐠🐟🐡🦈

This week at home Ed and the after school science clubs we were learning all about flight! 👩‍🔬🐈‍⬛️🚀

We made loop gliders which didn't look like gliders at all, experimented with how weight effected how much our helicopters spun, added different amounts of reactants to make a new bouncy ball product, and made pop rockets from an increase in air pressure. 🚀✈️

We made jumping frogs, learnt all about camouflage, designed our own camouflage chameleons to hide, learnt about beak types and made jungle slime! 👩‍🔬🐈‍⬛️🚀
