A big, big thank you to Karen Sully, an advisory teacher of the Vision Impaired team, for coming along to Sunhill Nursery this evening.
Tonight Karen held some training with the team, to support one of our little ones navigate their nursery day. So insightful and supportive. We look forward to working more closely with you.

✨ What a wonderful afternoon we had yesterday at our Summer Party and leavers celebration! ✨

A huge thank you to all of our amazing parents and carers for your continued support, for coming along, and for helping to make the afternoon special. We hope you all had a fantastic time celebrating with us in the sunshine! ☀️

As we say goodbye to some of our wonderful school leavers, our hearts are filled with both pride and sadness. Watching you grow, learn and flourish has been such a privilege, and we know you are all ready for your next exciting adventure. We wish each and every one of you the very best as you start school—you will always be a part of the Sunhill family, and we will miss you all.

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to our incredible team, whose hard work and dedication made the afternoon possible. Together, we created some special memories✨

🌟 MEET THE SUNHILL FAMILY! 🌟
This is Gzelle, one of our wonderful Nursery Practitioners at Sunhill Preschool and Nursery.

Gzelle joined the Sunhill family in June 2026 and, after previously working at another nursery setting, she hasn't looked back since!

Currently, Gzelle is working towards her Level 3 Early Years qualification through an apprenticeship, which she is hoping to complete in January 2027. She is passionate about developing her skills and knowledge while supporting our children every day.

When asked what the most important quality in childcare is, Gzelle's answer was simple: being caring. She believes that helping children feel safe, valued, and supported is at the heart of providing the best possible start in life.

Outside of nursery, Gzelle loves spending time with friends and making the most of our beautiful coastline with beach days whenever she can. She enjoys all kinds of music and doesn't limit herself to just one genre — if it's a good song, she'll listen to it! 🎵

Those who know Gzelle would describe her as bubbly, energetic, and full of enthusiasm, qualities that shine through in her work with the children.

A few fun facts about Gzelle:

⛽ Her favourite petrol station is Cornwall Services because it's close to home and has everything she needs!

🌟 MEET THE SUNHILL FAMILY! 🌟

This is Lissa, our amazing Lead Practitioner at Sunhill Preschool and Nursery.

Lissa is passionate about making a difference in children's lives and loves being part of their Early Years journey. She feels incredibly privileged to support children during such an important stage of development and enjoys watching them grow, learn, and gain confidence every day.

One of the things Lissa is most proud of in her role is knowing that she has a positive impact on the children she cares for. Nothing makes her happier than walking into the room and being greeted with excited smiles, hearing her name called, or receiving a cuddle from one of the children. It's those special moments that remind her why she loves her job so much.

When she's not at nursery, Lissa enjoys getting outdoors. Her perfect day off includes a long run followed by a walk along the beach with her dog, Biscuit 🐾.
If she could travel anywhere in the world, her dream destination would be South Africa, where she'd love to experience a safari and see some of the world's most incredible wildlife up close.

We're so lucky to have Lissa as part of the Sunhill family. Her warmth, dedication, and passion for supporting children shine through in everything she does. 💙

🌟 MEET THE SUNHILL FAMILY! 🌟 #

This is Jo, one of our fantastic Nursery Practitioners at Sunhill Preschool and Nursery.
Jo holds a Level 3 childcare qualification and, as she likes to say, "a bit of common sense too!" 😊

When it comes to helping children thrive in their early years, Jo believes that learning through experiences, positive interactions, and meaningful communication gives children the very best start in life.

What Jo loves most about her role is being part of such an important stage of a child's development. She enjoys helping to spark children's curiosity, encourage their adventurous nature, and watching them grow and flourish. For Jo, there's nothing more rewarding than seeing children thrive and knowing she's played a part in their journey.

Away from nursery, Jo enjoys relaxing with a good feel-good programme. One of her favourites is Worzel Gummidge, which she discovered a couple of years ago and quickly fell in love with. She loves the story of the silly scarecrow with the big heart.

If you're offering Jo a hot drink, it's coffee every time ☕.
And when it comes to cheese? Jo isn't too fussy - she'll happily enjoy almost any variety, although smoked cheese isn't quite her thing! 🧀

We're so pleased to have Jo as part of the Sunhill family and know that the children benefit every day from her warmth, enthusiasm, and dedication. 💙

🌟 MEET THE SUNHILL FAMILY! 🌟

This is Lacey, one of our wonderful Nursery Practitioners at Sunhill Preschool and Nursery.

Lacey joined the Sunhill family in March 2026 and has quickly become a valued member of our team.

Her passion for childcare began at a young age. Inspired by her mum, who also works in the childcare industry, Lacey would often spend inset days alongside her mum at work, playing with and supporting the children. Those early experiences helped shape her decision to pursue a career working with young children.

When she's not at nursery, Lacey is a huge dog lover and has four dogs of her own! 🐶
Lacey is also a big rugby fan and loves watching the game whenever she can. In fact, when she was younger, she had the exciting opportunity to be a mascot for the Exeter Chiefs!

We're delighted to have Lacey as part of the Sunhill family and look forward to seeing her continue to make a positive difference in the lives of our children every day. 💙

🌟 MEET THE SUNHILL FAMILY! 🌟

This is Chloe, our fantastic Baby Room Leader at Sunhill Preschool and Nursery.

Chloe has worked in childcare since 2014, taking a short break along the way to welcome her amazing son, Reggie.
Although she has been back at Sunhill for the last six months, she also worked at the nursery previously, making her a familiar and valued member of our team.

From a young age, Chloe knew that working with children was where her heart belonged. She loves being silly, sharing in children's laughter, offering comfort when it's needed, and building those all-important relationships. For Chloe, one of the most magical things about Early Years is that every child is different, bringing their own unique personality, interests, and way of seeing the world.

What Chloe loves most about her role is helping to make every day special. She enjoys supporting children as they grow, learn, and develop into confident, capable little people.

When she's not at nursery, Chloe loves spending quality time with Reggie, heading out on walks, and making memories with her fun-loving family.

Her favourite children's story? The Gruffalo! After reading it hundreds of times over the years, she's pretty sure she could recite it from memory!

And when it comes to hot drinks, there's no hesitation - it's coffee every time ☕.

We're so lucky to have Chloe as part of the Sunhill family and caring for our youngest children every day. 💙
