🌟 Meet Our First Deputy Headteacher – Mark Austin 🌟

We are incredibly proud to introduce Mark Austin, who joins Bosvena School this September as our first ever Deputy Headteacher.

With over 20 years of experience in education, both in the UK and internationally, Mark is passionate about ensuring every child feels safe, valued and understood. He believes that strong relationships with pupils and their families are at the heart of helping young people thrive, and is looking forward to becoming part of the Bosvena community.

Outside of school, Mark enjoys spending time with his family, walking his rescue dogs across Cornwall and travelling whenever he gets the opportunity.

A few fun facts about Mark:
🐶 He has three rescue dogs called Enzo, Star and Hope.
🤹 He can juggle.
✋ He’s left handed.
🏃 He used to be a PE teacher before moving into school leadership.
✈️ He loves travelling and experiencing different cultures.

🦎 She has a miniature dachshund called Reggie and a leopard gecko called Biscuit.
🍰 Her speciality is baked chocolate cheesecake.
🌊 She loves beach walks, sea glass collecting and kayaking.
🐋 She recently visited Iceland and went whale watching.

🤿 She's snorkelled with manta rays in Bali.
🦈 She conquered her fear by swimming with sharks in the Maldives!
🐢 While surfing in Sri Lanka, three turtles popped up to say hello.

📢 Open Evening Cancelled
Unfortunately, due to ongoing building works in the school car park and associated facilities, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Autumn Term Open Evening.
The safety and comfort of our visitors is our priority, and we do not currently have the facilities available to provide the experience we would like for prospective families.
We are pleased to confirm that the event will be rescheduled for an evening in September, once the building works are complete and our facilities are fully operational.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding. We look forward to welcoming you to Bosvena School very soon.
