π Year 6 London Adventure! π
Our Year 6 pupils have had an incredible week exploring some of London's most famous landmarks and attractions!
The trip began with a visit to the Tower of London, where the children took part in an engaging workshop and enjoyed a fascinating tour of this historic site. From there, they walked across the iconic Tower Bridge before enjoying lunch in a beautiful park beside the River Thames.
The adventure continued with visits to HMS Belfast and the world-renowned Tate Modern, giving pupils the opportunity to learn about history, art and culture in some of London's most celebrated venues.
Another highlight of the trip was a visit to Horizon 22, where the children enjoyed spectacular panoramic views across the capital from one of London's tallest viewing platforms. They then headed to Green Park and Buckingham Palace, enjoying lunch while soaking up the atmosphere in the heart of the city.
The afternoon included some souvenir shopping and opportunities to visit Westminster Cathedral, see the Houses of Parliament, or catch a glimpse of Downing Street.
To round off a fantastic day, everyone enjoyed dinner at Giraffe on the South Bank before crossing the river to Covent Garden for an evening performance of Disney's Hercules β a truly memorable experience!
The children have been outstanding ambassadors for our school throughout the trip, demonstrating enthusiasm, curiosity and excellent behaviour. We are incredibly proud of them and know they will return home with wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.
