"ART GROUP
We meet on Tuesdays from 2 - 4 pm at the Cowdenhill Community Centre. There are still 9 sessions to the term. We have been going for years but recently there are fewer core members and we could do with some more. This is a taught group started by Guthrie Po***ck when he retired from Bo'ness Academy and carried on after he died in 2019 at the age of 93. We dabble in all kinds of painting and drawing and vary hugely in ability and styles but are friendly and new members including beginners are always welcome. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided. We are run on a non-profit basis with a fee to cover the room hire and some materials (currently £25 for the rest of the term or £3 a session if you just want to try us out) Any questions 07982414953 [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) or message me

PLEASE SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY HALL

As you may be aware, the hall committee has been progressing our application with Falkirk Council to take full ownership of the hall to retain it for use in the community. We have worked tirelessly to gather all the paperwork required. In order to sustain the hall for future use, it is important that we increase our membership.
To that end I am writing to ask if you would be willing to become a member. Membership is free and anyone over the age of 16 is eligible.
In order to become a member, we would ask that you email us on [email protected] and we will send you a form to complete and return to our email address.
Being a member has no personal liability for you, but does allow you to attend meetings - should you wish to do so - where you can contribute to the ongoing management of the hall.
You will be entitled to attend the Annual General Meeting once a calendar year. This is generally held in September. This is where we sign off the accounts, agree the rental fees for the coming year and discuss the plans for the hall for the next year. It is a great opportunity for you as a member to express any changes or improvements you wish to see and give guidance as to how the Hall can be utilised for the Community.
Kind Regards,
Cowdenhill Committee
