Wishing our students and their families a safe, restful and blessed summer break. A massive thank you to the staff team at for their hard work this year. We look forward to being reunited with students for the first day of the Autumn term on Monday September 7th.

Today, Bede South Ballet Class took part in a live lesson with the Royal Ballet. We explored the story of 'Alice in Wonderland', watching some of the professional dancers in rehearsal and on stage, as well as creating our own dance pieces. This was a brilliant opportunity to work alongside such a prestige's company. The students thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

🎨✨ What an incredible afternoon at our Primary School Art Exhibition yesterday!
From colourful creations to imaginative masterpieces, every piece on display showcased the creativity, talent and hard work of our amazing young artists. Thank you to all who helped make the event such a success.
We are so proud of what our children have achieved – the future is certainly bright! 🌟🖌️

☀️ What a fantastic Summer Fair! ☀️
A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made the evening such a success. It was wonderful to see so many families, local organisations, businesses and community groups coming together, alongside our brilliant staff, to celebrate our academy community.
We loved hearing such positive feedback, making new connections, and seeing so many people keen to support our young people in the future.
Together, we're continuing our journey to become a warmer, more inclusive academy, and last night showed exactly what can be achieved when a community comes together.

This morning, Bede Primary was delighted to welcome two very special guests: Ruby, our Head Girl, and Millie. Ruby led the primary pupils in prayer, while Millie gave a fantastic performance of Defying Gravity from Wicked ahead of the Bede's Got Talent show next week. Millie also shared her journey from Bede Primary to secondary school, encouraging pupils to make the most of every opportunity that Bede has to offer. She spoke thoughtfully about the importance of our Core Virtues and how they have influenced her own journey. Everyone at Bede Primary is incredibly grateful to Ruby and Millie for taking the time to visit us. Thank you both for inspiring our pupils!

Last week’s dance concert was something special. So many talented students from across the school came together to put on an amazing show, with incredible routines and beautiful songs from the choir 🎶

Dear Parents and Carers,

Please find attached an invitation to our upcoming Art Exhibition, which will take place on Thursday 2nd July. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you to celebrate the wonderful creativity of our students.

As part of this event, we are also organising an exciting art competition for all pupils. Students are invited to create a piece of artwork that captures their favourite moments at Bede Academy. This could include experiences such as PE, music, a particular lesson, time spent with friends, a school trip, a themed day, or any special memory that is meaningful to them.

The winning pieces will be proudly displayed in the head teacher’s office for a full year.

Please note that the deadline for entries is Friday 3rd July.

We look forward to seeing the children’s wonderful creations and hope you are able to join us for the exhibition.
