Well Done Newsham Nature Lovers
It was absolutely lovely to see so many members of the Newsham Family out on the beach today, rolling up their sleeves and showing just how much pride we have in our wonderful town! 💙
Together, we collected a huge amount of litter — making a real difference to our coastline and creating a cleaner, brighter place for everyone to enjoy. 🙌
And, of course, it was also a brilliant chance for a catch-up, a few laughs and some quality community time! 😊
🏆🍦 Our leading litter collectors even won themselves an ice cream — but a massive well done to every single volunteer who gave up their time and helped make such a difference. You should all be proud!
A special thank you to Carter-Lee for coming up with this fantastic idea, and to Blyth Town Council for lending us the litter-picking equipment we’ve used today and on several other recent litter picks. Your support is hugely appreciated. 👏

Summer Meet Up
How about the chance to meet up and make a difference this weekend. Pupils, parents and staff are gathering at the beach at 11:00 on Saturday.
Typical of the children at our school, one Year 4 pupil came up with the idea of a summer litter pick. It fits in with our commitment to the community as part of our Environmental and Sustainability plan, and our Responsible value.
Spend some time with the Newsham Family, showing pride in our town. Bring some gloves, a snack and a smile, and come and tell us what you have been up to so far in the holidays.

Fantastic Fund Raisers
We are so proud of these two enterprising pupils. They are so passionate about raising money for Daft As A Brush, that they have spent most of their free time for the last few months making jewellery. On the Mini Summer Fair, they ran our most popular stall and quickly sold out! They raised £100 and received quite a few advance orders for more when they refill their stock!
Both girls went to the Daft As A Brush offices to hand over the funds.

Non Uniform

On Friday, to celebrate the end of the school year, we invite pupils to wear non-school uniform. The additional purpose of this day is to supplement our stock for our recycled uniform scheme. If you have any high-quality (looks nearly new) uniform that fits the criteria below that you no longer need, please could you hand it in to a class teacher.
School jumpers, cardigans and hoodies with logos red or black
(Looks nearly new) white polo shirts
(Looks nearly new) grey trousers or skirts
(Looks nearly new) plain red PE T-shirts
(Looks nearly new) plain no logo black shorts
(Looks nearly new) plain no logo tracksuit tops and bottoms
Good condition plain black school shoes or no logo black trainers
