The Role
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Nursery Assistant to join our friendly team. In this role, you will help support the daily care, learning, and development of our children, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and happy.
This role is 12 hours per week, covering lunches Monday – Friday and two afternoons.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support children’s learning and development through engaging, play-based activities.
• Lunch time support, you will be required to clean tables and set up the lunches. Staying with the children until they have finished. Afterwards you will be required to tidy up and clean away any mess left over.
• Assist with daily routines including snack times, daily activities and personal care.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating indoor and outdoor play environment.
• Build positive, professional relationships with parents and carers.
• Follow all nursery safeguarding, health, and safety policies at all times
About You:
• Hold a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Previous experience working with early years children is preferred.
• A patient, kind, energetic, and proactive approach.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Excellent communication skills with both children and adults.
• Paediatric first aid.
• Food hygiene.
Job type – Part time, Permanent. Term time.
Minimum wage £12.71 Pro rata.
