Walsall Academy is immensely proud to celebrate the endeavour and individual successes of our students following this year’s results. Their achievements reflect their resilience, hard work and dedication, supported throughout by our exceptional staff and families.

As our students take their next steps, we are delighted to welcome many back to our Sixth Form, while others move on to exciting courses, apprenticeships and employment in a variety of fields.
Whatever path they choose, we know they will take with them the skills, experiences and determination developed during their time at Walsall Academy.

Congratulations to all our students on their well-deserved achievements. We wish each of them prosperity, happiness and continued success for the future.

Celebrating Success – Walsall Academy Sixth Form Class of 2026
We are thrilled to celebrate another year of achievements from our Sixth Form Class of 2026. This summer’s results are a testament to the dedication, determination and talent of our students, supported every step of the way by our committed staff team.
Our students have achieved well across the board, with an impressive 29.5% of all grades awarded at A/A* or equivalent.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the achievements of former Walsall Academy student Costas Gavriel, who has been awarded a Distinction in his Master’s degree at Christ Church, University of Oxford.

Costas has gone on to pursue his passion for literature and medieval studies, with a particular research interest in Iberian women writers. His academic excellence has already been recognised through the publication of his work in The Palgrave Encyclopedia of Medieval Women’s Writing in the Global Middle Ages – a significant achievement for an early-career researcher.

Even more excitingly, Costas will be continuing his academic journey at Oxford as he begins his Doctorate (PhD).

Congratulations, Costas! Your dedication, curiosity and love of learning are an inspiration to our current students. We can’t wait to see where your research takes you next.

A huge congratulations to our fantastic Year 12 student, Faith, who has secured a highly sought-after two-week placement in Germany through the UK-German Connection.

Faith arrived in Erlangen, Northern Bavaria, this week and is already having a fantastic time, developing her language skills, experiencing German culture first-hand and making memories that will last a lifetime. We can’t wait to hear all about her adventures when she returns.

Meanwhile, back at Walsall Academy, our Year 8 German students celebrated the end of their Food and Health module with a traditional German-style breakfast. From fresh bread and cheeses to Spezi, our students embraced the opportunity to try something new, and many discovered a new favourite.

Learning languages is about so much more than the classroom, and it is wonderful to see our students bringing German language and culture to life.

A huge well done to every student involved in yesterday’s Celebration of Achievement at Walsall Academy.

From the fantastic videos reflecting on an incredible year of opportunities, to the outstanding musical performances and the presentation of awards for progress, achievement, living our values and our special awards, it was a wonderful evening celebrating the very best of our academy community.

We are incredibly proud of everything our students have accomplished this year. Congratulations to all of our award winners, performers and everyone who has contributed to making this such a successful year. Here’s to even more success next year!

The Outward Bound Trust. The students have been washed and fed and will bring home wet and possibly smelly clothes. We expect to be back at the Academy at 9pm we expect all students in school on time on Monday morning.
