Water Hall School on Bletchley's Lakes Estate. A wonderful school where the pupils got to be creative and do fantastic things and not a uniform in sight.

Every time I bump into an ex- Water Hall pupil (& we recognise each other) we chat & exchange news before going on with our day & then I remember too late that we should have done a selfie. Last week I bumped into Julie Berry who I haven’t seen since about 1980 and then last night (for the second time in the last month or so) Louisa & Debbie Curtis. This time we got a photo! And if you look back far enough on this FB page you might spot pics of them both at Water Hall. Enjoy the pic. We’ve hardly changed.

Huge congratulations to Lee Davidson for being awarded a BEM (British Empire Medal)

Here's a recently discovered but rather fuzzy photo of children waiting outside the swimming pool at Stockgrove Park School in 1980 (or 81). Those of you who remember 1979 & 1980 would probably be as surprised as I was to find myself doing building work with Vince Browning and picking him up at 6:30 in the morning. Who'd have thought that would happen back in 79 & 80 !

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the death of Alan Mountford who taught at Water Hall in the seventies & early eighties. In later life he was passionate about climbing and from what little information we have it seems he was involved in a climbing accident in Dorset. Our thoughts and condolences are with his family. He was a great musician, playing that most perfect of instruments for school singing, the accordion. "Oh you'll never get to heaven...in a baked bean can"....there were many verses. Alan Mountford 1953-2022 RIP. We'll miss you. Here are some pics of Alan at Water Hall on school trips, staff photos & staff v pupils rounders (in costume). Happy times.

Hi folks. It's been a while, but there have been no more photographs to post for quite some time now and the initial excitement and interest has subsided. Glad you all seemed to like it. Also appreciate that there has been hardly any negative comments over the last four years. However it is now time to close the site, what with all this data protection legislation etc. So from 25th May The Water Hall 72 to 83 FB page will, like the Norwegian Blue, cease to be. So if you haven't "copied image as" better do it fairly soon.
Regards and keep well. A time in education that was special and never likely to happen again.

Here's an absolute 'gem' of a picture. Thanks Tanya Lawler for sending me this. It is indeed Bob Hardy leaning over talking to your brother Anthony. It's a photograph from The Bletchley Gazette about the children helping clear up all the rubbish that had been dumped in the hedge that was next to Lomond Drive.

MUSIC HALL The School's first 'production'. 09/12/2015

Thanks Wayne Pavey for sending this picture of Water Hall's Music Hall. Sorry it's been so long since you sent it.

More sad news for folks that were at Water Hall in the early eighties. Today was Tracy Smith's funeral. Always a strong personality, she was chosen to play Mrs Potiphar in our version of Joseph. Condolences to her family.

Latest Water Hall news. Anybody got any?

Saw sad announcement in this week's MK Citizen. For those that remember secretary Sheila Leckie, her husband Brian passed away.

Staff thrash the pupils at rounders July 1983. 16/01/2015

During the last week of my wonderful eight years and two terms at Water Hall we had a staff v pupils rounders match organised by Miss Brown. Of course we won and after leaving Water Hall teaching would never be quite the same again.
