Home from Home Childcare is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly, dedicated team.
We are a family-run day nursery based in Bletchley, providing a warm, nurturing and homely environment for children aged between 16 months and 5 years. We are committed to providing high-quality childcare and Early Years learning, where children feel safe, valued, confident and excited to learn.

Your role
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play an important role in supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing. You will:
- Provide children with a safe, secure, nurturing and home-from-home environment
- Build warm, positive and trusting relationships with children
- Support children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Plan, organise and implement a range of engaging and age-appropriate activities based on children's individual interests and developmental needs
- Observe, assess and support children's progress and development
- Encourage children's independence, confidence and self-esteem
- Support children's physical, emotional, social and communication development
- Work closely with colleagues to provide consistent, high-quality care and education
- Develop positive relationships with parents and carers and communicate effectively with families
- Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive and stimulating nursery environment
- Follow nursery policies and procedures, including those relating to safeguarding, health and safety and confidentiality
- Take an active role in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, organisation and presentation within the nursery
About you
We are looking for someone who:
- Is caring, enthusiastic, reliable and approachable
- Has a genuine passion for working with young children
- Is flexible, creative and enthusiastic about planning and delivering exciting learning experiences
- Has a good understanding of children's development and the EYFS
- Is able to work effectively as part of a team
- Has good communication and organisational skills
- Is willing to learn and develop professionally
- Can demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality childcare and Early Years education
- Is able to promote good practice and maintain professional standards
- Is patient, nurturing and able to respond sensitively to each child's individual needs
- Is willing to contribute ideas and be an active member of our nursery team
Qualifications and experience
A relevant Early Years/Childcare qualification and previous nursery experience would be desirable.
Paediatric First Aid and safeguarding training are also desirable but not essential, as training can be provided for the right candidate.
We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants who have a genuine passion for Early Years and who are keen to develop their skills and knowledge within a supportive nursery environment.
