A wonderful turn out today! And the weather stayed dry too ☀️ A huge thank you to everyone who came to our Summer Fayre, bought raffle tickets, and donated prizes - we couldn’t have done it without you!

So far we have made a whopping £1060 profit, which is absolutely incredible and will all go back into the nursery for new experiences and equipment for the children 🌸

We still have some ice creams leftover so we will be selling these at home times over the next few weeks until they are gone (we will still have the card machine if needed).

And lastly a huge thank you to our helpers Gemma, Sarah, Amanda, Dan, Tom, Jo, Charlotte, Hannah, Heather, and Ted - you are all amazing for giving up your Saturdays to raise money for our children, we really appreciate you all 💚 Stay tuned for our Christmas Fayre coming up at the end of the year 🎅🏼🎁

🎉 It’s our 4th Birthday today 🎉

On the 17th June 2019 we opened the doors to our nursery for the first time. We welcomed in 6 happy children with Pauline, Jade and Yasmin, and our journey began. Fast forward to today, we have 6 more amazing staff members and a nursery full of clever, funny, cheeky little ones! 4 years later and we still absolutely love every day we get to spend doing the job we are so passionate about 💚

Next year is our 5th birthday (half a decade!!! 🫢), so plans are beginning for a birthday bash for all current and past children, and their families - more details to follow 🎂🎁🎉

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported us over the last 4 years, we couldn’t do it without you. Here’s to many more happy years and unforgettable memories 🥂🎉

We had a visit from ‘Zoolab’ today! We had opportunities to learn about, touch and stroke the animals they brought with them. We met Pip the Tortoise, Millie the Millepede, Tilly the Tarantula, Bullseye the Giant African Land Snail, Phil-ippe and Phil-op the Cockroaches, and Daffodil the Corn Snake! 🐍🐌🕷️🐢🪳

The lovely lady who adopted our ducklings brought a couple back to nursery today so we could see how much they have grown! We loved stroking and cuddling them (when they didn’t run away!), watching them swim in the water, and feeding them lots of frozen peas and spinach! 🦆🐣

☀️🍦This year our Summer Fayre is on Saturday 1st July between 11am and 3pm. Lots of amazing stalls planned including a BBQ, ice creams and scones, games for the children, and a raffle with some amazing prizes including several free cleans of your home from local cleaners, restaurant vouchers, vouchers from cake makers, vouchers from local hairdressers, activity vouchers (Mead Farm, Planet Ice and Bletchley Park) and lots more!

We are still on the look out for bottles/cans of alcohol for our alcohol Tombola; any raffle prizes (chocolates, new toys, vouchers from local businesses, gift sets), and prizes for our Tombola (toiletries, tins, packets, sweets etc). Please let us know if you have any of these at home you no longer want/would like to donate - thank you! 🍦☀️

Our first duckling has hatched! All the children and staff gathered round to watch this amazing experience! 🐣

Recently the children have been fascinated with seeds. At snack time, they have been asking to take the apple/watermelon seeds outside to plant in the garden so we can grow our own; some of them have even taken the seeds home to attempt to grow their own apple trees in their gardens. We have potatoes and carrots almost ready to plant, but whilst we are waiting patiently, the children really enjoyed our seed activity this afternoon! Children loved using tweezers and spoons to collect seeds from a variety of fruits, and it was nice to have a little taste too! 🌱🍎🍉🥝

The children absolutely loved our first weekly yoga session today! 🧘‍♀️🧘

We have been learning about Spring, so this afternoon we went for a walk to the local park to have a look at and talk about the beautiful daffodils, and of course we enjoyed the park whilst we were there!! 🛝💐🌼

Graduation 2022 🎓

Our Summer Fayre is tomorrow! The weather is going to be beautiful ☀️ Come down for a BBQ in the sun, or a coffee in an air conditioned room!! Lots of things to keep the kiddies entertained too 🍦

A massive thank you to Brian and Tigerlily for a brilliant paediatric first aid course, and an even bigger thank you to our amazing staff for giving up their Saturday to learn and practice these life saving skills ⛑ Pauline, Jade, Yasmin, Amanda, Gemma and Sarah are now freshly first aid trained; we were all assessed doing primary surveys on casualties, carrying out CPR on a variety of ages, placing casualties in the recovery position, and dealing with choking, amongst lots of other important things! ⭐️

Yesterday the children harvested our first batch of potatoes that they had grown and taken care of over the last few months. After the children found all the potatoes, we washed them, cooked them, and then ate them for lunch! 😋🥔🪴

☀️ SUMMER FAYRE ☀️
Our HUGE raffle which is taking place as part of our Summer Fayre on Sunday 10th July, 11am-3pm, at Chepstow Community Centre, Bletchley, MK35NG, (the raffle will be drawn at 2.45pm) 🍦☀️ At the moment, our raffle consists of an amazing 57 prizes! A massive thank you to everyone who has donated prizes 🧡 Please send us a message if you can’t make the Fayre, but would like some raffle tickets 🎟

⛑ First Aid Course ⛑

Tigerlily training will be running a full day Paediatric First Aid Course (valid for 3 years) on Saturday 2nd July in our nursery building, Chepstow Community Centre, for our staff. We have a few extra spaces if anyone would like to join? Places are £75 and lunch will be provided. Please message if you are interested and would like some more information

🦸🏻‍♀️🦸🏾‍♂️ Superhero week at nursery! 🦸🏼🦹🏻‍♀️

We had a fantastic visit from ‘Ark Farm’ this morning! They set up a pen in our garden and brought two dogs, a donkey, four lambs, two goats and a pig to see us! The children and staff had lots of fun stroking and cuddling the animals, and learning lots about them! 🐶🐐🐷🐑

Happy World Book Day! Although we celebrate books every day, World Book Day is a great way to promote this further with our children. At nursery, we have a library where children can borrow books to take home and read with their families, encouraging a love for books and reading at home as well as at nursery 📚📖

Happy Chinese New Year! Today the children have enjoyed painting with Chinese New Year stampers, role playing in the Chinese restaurant, and trying lots of Chinese food! 🥠🥡🧧🇨🇳🥢

Our duplo people have gone ice skating today ❄️☃️

Thank you to all our wonderful families and staff for supporting Children in Need by wearing pyjamas, buying cakes, and taking part in lots of Pugsy themed activities! We’re very proud to say that our little nursery raised a fantastic £157 for the charity 🥳🌈

OUR NURSERY IS 2 TODAY!🥰🥳🎈
The last two years have been nothing but the best 👏🏼 Even if we did have a global pandemic in our first year!! The fact our amazing families stuck by us, supported us, followed the rules and guidance, and all came back to us once it was safe to do so - we will forever be grateful we had them during those scary times! 💜 Our fabulous team make us proud every single day - we are a family with our children at the heart of everything we do and that is why we love what we do!🥰 The last two years have been incredible, exhausting, rewarding, full of love and laughs, scary during COVID, and exhausting again (!) but we wouldn’t change it for the world - we feel so lucky to not only work with amazing people, but to have incredible families with us too 🌏 With the amount of amazing memories we’ve made in two years.. we are so excited to see what will come next 🥰👶🏼👧🏾🧒🏽👩🏻👩🏽‍🦱🧑🏼💛💚💛💚
