Our Navigator children love dinosaurs, as part of world book day Morgan dressed up as Harry from the story Harry and his bucket full of dinosaurs, the children loved her costume! Take a look at some of the activities staff provided through the children's interest

Our Inventor children have been learning all about colours this week using the story Elmer, Staff provided a range of activities to develop fine motor control and hand strength as the group explore different tools such as tweezers, buttons and mark making opportunities.

As part of our world book day celebrations our Navigator children have been bringing the story 'superworm' to life, they worked together searching in the garden using magnifying glasses to explore the mud sensory tray

Our navigator staff have been supporting the children to explore different emotions over the past few weeks, they have been exploring the colour monster story alongside emotion props to encourage the children to communicate and build awareness of their own feelings and emotions

Staff in our inventor room have noticed many of the children exploring transporting this week, they provided opportunities for the children to further explore this in our water area extending their interest and providing lots of opportunities for children to deeply investigate a range of concepts, work together in groups and develop their vocabulary through role modelling of language

Ove the past few weeks the children in nursery have been learning about birds, Staff have provided a range of stories alongside inviting invitations to play to support the children id developing their knowledge and understanding of Birds.

January has been a busy month at Spring Blaydon with lots of new families joining us. Staff at Spring Blaydon provide calm cosy areas developed to support children's curiosity and a love of stories.
