Interested in forming a Scottish Ambulance Service Women’s Rugby Team?🏉
We’re looking to bring together staff from across the service who are interested in rugby — whether you’re an experienced player, completely new to the game, or somewhere in between.

Our vision is to create a fun, friendly and social team where everyone can get involved, meet colleagues from across the service and enjoy playing rugby together.

We hope to develop a team where we can have the opportunity to represent the Scottish Ambulance Service competitively against other emergency and public service teams, including Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Scottish Prison Service, who already have established women's teams.

📅 First Glasgow Taster Session

Wednesday 16th September

This will be a relaxed taster session, so no previous rugby experience is required. Come along, have a try and meet some fellow SAS colleagues!

We would however, recommend training with a local club if you wish to play competitively 😊
Our aim is to raise money to fund a women's rugby kit and arrange some competitive fixtures in 2027 against our emergency service colleagues.

Our University of the West of Scotland Level 8 students have now completed their 3 day Emergency Sign Language Course. Giving our students the time to learn the theory and practice the skills that may prove critical in an emergency.
