Another lovely visit this week to the Bonnie Blantyre Planters 🌺🌼

On our way we discussed road safety and the importance of stopping, looking and listening when crossing the roads which we all did very well ☺️

♻️ ECO-SCHOOL GREEN FLAG! ♻️

This is another fantastic achievement for our children and we are incredibly proud of everything we have achieved together.

During our ongoing Eco-School journey, the children are involved in many hands-on experiences through our daily Eco-Time from litter picking (taking part in the ‘Clean Up Scotland’ campaign), to composting food scraps, recycling, re-growing vegetables, saving water, caring for our animals and going out to the community to water 💦 Bonnie Blantyre 🐝planter, the children have shown that even small actions can make a big difference 👍🏻

One of our best projects was creating and developing our award winning Pocket Garden, where the children planted and cared for vegetables and wildflowers, used rainwater from our water butt and created spaces to encourage wildlife such as bees & butterflies 🦋

Our Green Flag is a celebration of the children's ideas, hard work, curiosity and commitment to making our nursery a greener place.

We were delighted to welcome Mags and Carol from who delivered in house training with some of the team this week. The team explored how to deliver fun and interactive Bookbug sessions for children and families 🎶📖

The team shared how much they enjoyed the day filled with stories, songs, rhymes, and lots of new ideas 💡🎵📚

We are incredibly grateful for Bardykes Farm Nursery School supporting the President area at this years show where our very own President of the show Sandy Wilkie will be meeting and greeting judges and guests.

Established in 1991, Bardykes Farm Nursery School set a new gold standard by placing the great outdoors and the natural world at the heart of children's learning. Located within the buildings and grounds of a former working farm, the nursery provides a truly unique environment where imagination, curiosity and adventure flourish every day.

Children are encouraged to explore a magical outdoor world filled with secret gardens, thriving orchards, flowing rivers and an incredible variety of wildlife. From birds, bees and butterflies to fish, frogs and ducks, as well as horses, calves, lambs, dogs, cats and even guinea pigs, every day offers exciting opportunities to learn through nature.

With a holistic, hands-on approach, Bardykes Farm Nursery School nurtures children's physical, emotional and mental wellbeing while building confidence, creativity and a lifelong love of the outdoors.
