Congratulations to year 11 Rupert C, who has worked very hard to get into academy at u17 level. His performances and dedication to all aspects of his game on and off the pitch has certainly paid off. We look forward to continuing to help him develop. Well done Rupert!

A massive well done to our U18 and U16 squads who headed to London this week for the Rosslyn Park National Schools 7s. It was a fantastic opportunity for our players to test themselves on one of the biggest stages in school rugby.
​While the results didn’t always go our way, the spirit on and off the pitch was second to none. For some of our younger players, this was their first taste of the Rosslyn Park magic. For our Year 13s, however, it marked their final time wearing the Clayesmore jersey.
​To our leavers: thank you for every tackle, every try, and everything you’ve given to Clayesmore Rugby over the years. You’ve left the shirt in a better place.

Clayesmore Sixth Form Girls Football have been building since January, and on Thursday they took to the pitch for their first fixture against Canford.
A huge effort from start to finish, while the result didn’t go our way, the determination, teamwork and spirit on show made us incredibly proud.

It was brilliant to have our Netball Co-Captains Lily T and Ellie P leading a session with the Year 9s. The girls really benefited from learning directly from older players who model great teamwork, communication and game awareness.
Opportunities like this are so important, giving younger students the chance to learn from strong female role models in sport helps build confidence, inspire participation, and show what can be achieved through dedication and leadership. A fantastic session all round! 🏐💪✨

Netball 1st VII v Rugby 1st XV- This week saw two of our performance teams go head to head in a friendly netball fixture. It was great to see both teams embrace the occasion and put on a show for the spectators. The netball team started very quickly and maintained their intensity throughout. The rugby team grew into the game as the quarters went by. All in all a great game and one we are already looking forward to next year.

The U16A National Cup team has progressed to the National Bowl quarter-finals following an exciting performance against Bradfield College. Known for their strong hockey programme, Bradfield provided tough opposition, but Clayesmore rose to the challenge with an outstanding display.
A confident and well-organised performance saw Clayesmore run out 3–1 winners, securing their place in the next round.
Attention now turns to the quarter-final, where they will face the winners of Kingswood and The Island Free School.

1st XV Rugby. Here are some photos taken by Tabitha B (year 13) of the National Bowl Semi Final yesterday against . The squad left everything out on the pitch, defending with real grit and showing constant support in attack right to the final whistle. It finished 19-17 to Gravesend, a tough one to take when it genuinely could have gone either way.
This group is part of something building at . To compete at this level and do it together says everything about their attitude and belief. Progress does not happen by chance, it comes from consistent hard work, and this squad has put that work in. The game was well supported by pupils, parents and staff as 2 supporters coaches travelled up to the game to cheer them on.
They are a credit to the school, and we could not be prouder of their journey. 🔵⚪️🔵⚪️.

Aidan C (Year 9) had the opportunity to represent ISFA today at Thorpe Arch Training Centre against Leeds Academy earlier this week.
A fantastic experience for him at this stage of his journey, and a reflection of the commitment and work he continues to show both in school and on the pitch. A high quality game with plenty of talent on display, finishing 9–2 to ISFA. Well done Aidan .
