That’s the first week of September done 😰❤️

This week has given us a chance to reflect on all of our lovely children who left us at the end of summer to take that very exciting step into big school🥹🎒

It has been so lovely seeing some of them at the school gates, looking so grown up and ready for their next adventure. We couldn’t be prouder of every single one of them! 🥰

We’re also STILL completely overloaded in the staff room with gifts from some of our wonderful leavers 🎁❤️

It has been so heartwarming to receive so many thoughtful cards, messages and comments from our children and families, every single one means so much to us.

So, we thought we’d share just a few of the beautiful cards we received 🥹💌

We really do have the BEST children, parents and team and we feel incredibly lucky every single day! 💯❤️

Thank you for making our job so special. 🥰✨

🎅 Yes, it’s the 4th September… and yes, we’re mentioning the C word! 🎄🎶

We’ve sent a little message out on the parent app to families of children in Turtles Room to gauge interest in a possible Christmas Singalong for the children. ❤️

We’ve attached a response form to the message, so if your little one would like to take part, please let us know! This will help us gauge interest and plan something extra special for the children. ✨

If you’d prefer a paper copy, we also have forms available on the display board in Reception.

🎶 We know it feels very early… but Christmas will be here before we know it! 🎄🎅

If your child is starting Rising 3’s January or April next year you can now apply.
You can also apply for September nursery, Reception, Junior and Secondary school 🏫

Friday, we say a fond farewell to our wonderful nursery cook, Tracy ❤️

For the past 5 years, Tracy has been an important part of our nursery family, preparing all the delicious snacks and meals that our children enjoy every day. But Tracy was so much more than just our cook! She loved sneaking into the toddler and preschool rooms to spend time with the children, playing, chatting and sharing lots of lovely moments together. The children absolutely loved interacting with Tracy, and we know they will certainly notice when she isn’t here.

Tracy is moving on to a new job closer to home, meaning she will no longer have to rely on public transport for her daily commute. While we are very sad to see her go, we are so happy for her and wish her every success and happiness in her new role.

Tracy, thank you for all your hard work, care, laughter and the special part you have played in the lives of so many of our children over the past five years. You will be greatly missed by both the children and the staff.

We wish you all the very best for the future, Tracy ❤️

🌟 Staff Spotlight – July Reliability Award Winner! 🌟

A huge congratulations to our July Reliability Award winner, Jacqueline Hale, our wonderful Deputy Manager! 🎉👏

Jacqueline is one of our dedicated team members who has been part of Penrhiw since the very beginning, and this award is incredibly well deserved. Her 100% attendance and impeccable timekeeping truly demonstrate her commitment and reliability.

Jacqueline is always willing to lend a helping hand to Naomi, our Nursery Director, and is never afraid to take on new tasks and challenges. She is also a fantastic support to all of our rooms whenever needed.

Thank you, Jacqueline, for all your continued hard work, effort and dedication to Penrhiw. We are so lucky to have you as part of our team! 💐💛

That’s it… it’s all over 😢❤️

30 days of fun, friends and making memories! What an amazing Summer Holiday Club we’ve had. We hope all of our children have enjoyed every minute as much as we have 🥰

We are now closed for the Bank Holiday weekend and will reopen at 7am on Tuesday.

Tuesday is also the first day of the new term for our Flying Start children, and we’re excited that we’ll get to see some of our Holiday Club children too, as most schools have an inset day 🤭❤️

Then things will be back in full swing from Wednesday… back to school, new classes, new teachers and new children! 🎒📚✨

If you’re unsure about anything at all for the new term, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and clarify all the important bits with us ❤️

The first two weeks of September are always a little bit crazy, so please bear with us while everyone settles into their new routines 🥰

💙 Supporting Dementia UK 💙

We’d love to ask our wonderful nursery families to show their support for one of our lovely staff members, who is raising money for Dementia UK in memory of her much loved dad. 🕊️

Dementia is a cause that affects so many families, and this fundraising is a very special way for her to honour her dad’s memory while helping to support others living with dementia and their families.

If you are able to make a donation, no matter how big or small, it would mean so much to her and her family. Every penny will help make a difference. 💙
