❗FREE SCHOOL MEALS ARE CHANGING 🍽

From September the Government has changed eligibility for Free School Meals. This is fantastic news for many families.

● Targeted FSM: households receiving Universal Credit with annual earnings of £7,400 or less.
● Expanded FSM: households in receipt of Universal Credit who do not meet the Targeted FSM earnings threshold.

⁉ ACTION: how to claim Free School Meals

All families must apply for a FSM via Wigan Council.

You must complete the eligibility check even if your child is currently in receipt of a FSM at Roseacre Primary Academy.

❗If you are currently in receipt of a FSM and do not reapply, your child may no longer be eligible for a FSM in September.

Sun Safety 🌞

Year 4 enjoyed a fantastic trip to the park to celebrate a wonderful year together. It was a lovely opportunity to have fun, make memories and celebrate all of their hard work and achievements. Well done, Year 4 – we hope you all had a brilliant time! 🌳☀️🎉

Look at these beautiful woven landscapes created as part of Year 4’s art project. The creativity, care and attention to detail on display are fantastic. Well done, 4ES – you should all be incredibly proud of your wonderful work! 🎨🧶🌄

We were delighted to welcome to school The Veteran Education group on Monday. They worked with a group of year 4 and 5 children on resilience and leadership skills. We also participated in a military style training session. Fun was had by all. 💪 🤲

Our Nursery children sang their hearts out, put on an amazing show, and proudly graduated! 🌟🎓

We couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of our little superstars. Wishing them all the very best as they take their next exciting steps. 💛✨

A huge thank you to Chris Smith from BlackpoolGolfstarz for providing a fantastic golf session as a special team treat for our school team winners – Team Attenborough! ⛳🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️

The children had an amazing time learning new skills, taking on exciting challenges and enjoying every moment in the sun. It was a brilliant experience from start to finish, with plenty of smiles and great shots along the way!

We are delighted to have welcomed Swim Superb into school; they have been funded by EpicKidz to deliver a water safety session to Year 5 and 6 children. The session was very informative and useful. 😁🏊🏼‍♂️👍
