The Blackpool Sixth Form College

Aspiring Medical students attended a Medicine Discovery Day at The University of Lancashire.

This was a great taster of what it would be like to be a Medical student and included:

• A lecture on Genetic Inheritance Patterns
• Practice of Basic Life Saving in a Clinical Skills Session
• A sample session in the Anatomy Lab
• A campus tour
• A talk on alternative pathways to Medicine

Yesterday, our talented Musical Theatre students welcomed local primary school pupils for a special performance and workshop inspired by *K-Pop Demon Hunters*! 🎤✨

The pupils enjoyed watching our students bring the story to life before getting involved in their own interactive workshop, exploring performance skills, movement and creativity.

A huge well done to our Musical Theatre students for delivering such an engaging and energetic experience – you were fantastic ambassadors for the college! 🌟

Over the next few weeks, our students will also be taking part in water safety sessions in college, helping them learn how to stay safe around water and what to do in an emergency.

What a weekend! 🏔️

Our students travelled up to Keswick on Friday and spent two nights in the great outdoors, including a night of wild camping! Over two full days they navigated approximately 20km each day through stunning Lake District terrain.

They've now completed their practice expedition and are fully prepared for their final assessed expedition in July!
