Our little explorers had a fantastic time diving into an ocean-themed messy play experience today! 🌊🐚🦀

Following the children's interests, we created a sensory tray filled with gloop and a variety of sea animals for them to discover. They loved squishing, splashing, and exploring the different textures while using their imaginations to create their own underwater adventures.

Messy play encourages curiosity, creativity, and confidence as children investigate, ask questions, and express their ideas. Through hands-on exploration, they developed their sensory awareness, language, and problem-solving skills while having lots of fun!

Learning through play is always the best kind of adventure! 💙🐠🪼

Sue's favourite thing about working at Highfield is watching the children learn and develop through the activities and resources that we provide

There's nothing better than learning through nature! 🐸🌿

Today we spent time exploring the garden and discovered some wonderful frogs—both big and small! The children quickly named them Sarah and Barney and loved observing them up close.

Together, we talked about how frogs grow, their life cycle, and how to care for them respectfully before returning them safely to their natural habitat.

Moments like these help children become independent individuals, confident communicators, and logical learners as they explore, ask questions, solve problems, and share their discoveries.

Learning is always an adventure when it happens outdoors! 💚

Meet Nicole our Toddler Room Manager. Nicole has been part of the company for 2 years.
Nicole's favourite part about working at Highfield is developing and gaining more knowledge through different trainings that are available, being able to then implement this into the room and environments.
