As we continue celebrating our record-breaking GCSE results, we want to recognise the outstanding achievements of Ellie-May, Bi-Ying and Mariam.

⭐ Ellie-May achieved an incredible Grade 9 in English Language, alongside 9-8 in Combined Science, Grade 8 in History and Grade 7 in Maths.

⭐ Bi-Ying achieved an outstanding 9-9 in Combined Science, alongside Grade 8s in English Language and Maths and Grade 7 in Geography.

⭐ Mariam achieved a fantastic Grade 8 in Maths, Grade 8 in Statistics, 8-7 in Combined Science and Grade 7 in English Language.

These are exceptional individual achievements and a brilliant reflection of the ambition, determination and hard work these young people have shown.

Following our best ever GCSE results, we are incredibly proud that the scale of improvement at SSA has been recognised, with South Shore described as:

“The most improved school in Blackpool across multiple measures.”

And there is so much progress to celebrate:

We are incredibly proud to share that the Class of 2026 have achieved the best GCSE results in South Shore Academy's history. 💚💛

Behind every result is a pupil. Hours of lessons, revision, intervention, encouragement, setbacks, determination and hard work - and today, we have had the privilege of watching that hard work pay off.

This year's results represent another significant step forward for our school, with strong improvements across English, Maths and a wide range of subjects.

But today isn't simply about percentages.

It's about our young people.

It's about the doors these results will open and the exciting next steps our pupils will now take into sixth form, college, apprenticeships and beyond.
