🌟National Apprenticeship Week, we’re proud to celebrate Alex🌟

An inspiring practitioner working in a traditionally female dominated sector. At Balmoral Total Tots, Alex brings a unique blend of care, creativity, and confidence to the role, demonstrating that high quality early years practice is shaped by passion, dedication, and a genuine love of supporting children’s development.

Alex is a positive role model for the children and a highly valued member of the team. With an ability to combine imagination with warmth, Alex helps create an environment where every child feels supported, engaged, and excited to learn. Alex shows how diversity within early years settings enriches children’s experiences and strengthens the profession.

We’re delighted to celebrate Alex’s journey and contribution during National Apprenticeship Week, a reminder of the incredible impact apprentices make across early years education.

ā€œI thoroughly enjoyed my time throughout my apprenticeship, picking up lots of key knowledge and skills. College were always informative and supportive of my learning and development, offering support across areas I needed and providing great explanations through the online lessons.ā€ – Alex

National Apprenticeship Week 2026 at Blackpool and Fylde College shines a light on everything that makes apprenticeships such a powerful route into skilled, meaningful careers. It’s a week that celebrates ambition, talent, and the real-world impact of learning on the job.
Across the college, apprentices, employers, and staff come together to showcase success stories, hands‑on demonstrations, and the kind of industry partnerships that genuinely change lives.
Blackpool and Fylde College has long been a champion of practical, career‑focused education, and this week highlights exactly why: apprentices leave with confidence, experience, and a clear sense of direction.
Whether it’s early years, health and social care, engineering, digital, hospitality, construction or any of the college’s many specialist areas, the energy on campus during National Apprenticeship Week reflects a community committed to helping people thrive.
