Dunes Day Nursery and Pre-School

Wowsers! Next week, two of our babies Kenny and Hallie make their transition to the toddler room. Lois and Kirsty have been overwhelmed by their leaving gifts but more importantly truly delighted to have been part of their learning journey 🥰

On Wednesday, we went for a walk to our local uniform shop to see what our uniforms would be like in September. We went to Highfield Rd park which most children showed no fear (including Lindsay getting to the top of the climbing frame). We then visited our favourite park Louie Horrock’s. George found an envelope and immediately gave it to Lindsay .. ….
We were amazed by its contents!

The next day George’s Mummy & Daddy brought in cakes to share which was so kind 🥰
KINDNESS IS EVERYTHING 🥰

Our pre-school went on a visit to Lowlands Farm. What a fabulous place with the very lovely Charlotte and Team. We were taken there by Kincraig’s driver and mini bus (huge thank you to Headteacher Mrs Smith) for the very special treat. We loved every minute of the visit and were quite in awe of all the animals. This visit led in beautiful to the 100th Birthday Celebrations of Sir David Attenborough making us feel so lucky for all the species of animals in our world today 🥰

Love where you live! Today, pre-school went for a walk. We were mesmerised by what we saw! From beautiful blossom trees, pets to helicopters! A pilot invited us to have a look inside his helicopter WOW!
We are so lucky to have all this on our doorstep and so important that each child knows where they live 🥰

Such a lovely visit to Berwick Care Home this morning with our pre-school children. The residents and wonderful Team Berwick made us all feel so welcome as we sung songs from our ‘Song Sack’ and a few other favourites 🥰
We gave hand shakes, high fives and cuddles. This means a lot to our children and our community where young meets old but united in love and music 🎶

With the raffle, cake sales and the hard work of Sophie’s Mummy a grand total of £350 was raised for Epilepsy Awareness 🥰

Last week, our toddlers and lower pre-school visited Blackpool Zoo. We couldn’t have done this without the wonderful loan and driver of Kincraig’s mini bus! A huge thank you to Mrs Smith - the rather brilliant Headteacher (a dear friend and ex colleague of mine). The children and Team Dunes truly had the best day, all walking their little legs off! Polly’s Mummy and Daddy gave Team Dunes £40 to treat my ladies to a well deserved cuppa! How very kind 🥰
