Preschool 😁
We have had an amazing week in preschool starting our new transport topic.🚗
We started off the week making our own trains with our names on them increasing our fine motor skills and control with pencils.🚂
We had a car wash tuff tray out all week and also our own made “cement” sand tray with diggers and other vehicles.💦
We then played a dice and colour game helping with our number recognition.1️⃣2️⃣3️⃣
Next we used our scissor skills to make our own monster trucks.🚛
We also made our own boats and painted them ourselves.⛵️
To finish off the week to blow off some steam we went to the park which all the children loved.🛝

A trip to the park is always a good idea❤️🥰

Preschool😁
We have had an amazing week in preschool filled with lots of different activities.
To begin the week we had a sensory walk based on the book “we’re going on a bear hunt.” The children enjoyed taking their socks and shoes off and walking through the different textures whilst explaining how it felt on their feet.🦶
We have continued with our animal theme with some play dough to make snakes with. 🐍
We have made our own collages for some scales on our fish.🐠
We used our scissor skills to cut pictures of different animals and explored which animals were big and which were small.🐶
We then went on a trip to the shop where we managed to buy our very own shop front! We then decided to change our home corner into a shop and the children have been obsessed with it ever since.🛒
In order to incorporate the children’s interest into their play within nursery we made our very own rainbow road from Mario cart with lolly pop sticks which the children loved.🚗
To finish off the week we went on a walk to Stanley park to see what animals we could spot there.
We can’t wait for all the fun we will have next week with our new topic.😁

Last week we took our preschool children to Gruffalo world!🐭
They all walked amazingly to and from the bus stop and loved being in the bus. We even got to see Blackpool tower on our way! 🗼
Once we arrived we played in the play area, ball pit, sensory room and took part in the dancing with the gruffalo and his friends.🛝
The children had their listening ears on the whole time and had an amazing time running around being crazy with their Aunties. We can’t wait to do more trips like this.☀️

These last few weeks in the baby room we have been having lots of fun and making the most of the sunshine 🌞

On Friday we had the pleasure of hosting graduation for our school leavers.💜
It was an amazing day filled with some happy and some sad tears from parents as they watched their children preform songs and receive certificates based on their time at Embrace.
We are so grateful for the parents showing up and hope you had an amazing time.
We are sad to be saying goodbye to our leavers however, we know they will all love and thrive at “big school.”

Preschool⭐️
Recently auntie Courtney completed bikeability training, resulting in us getting 6 new balance bikes and also new helmets. 🚲

Bikeability training is beneficial for younger children because it helps them develop the skills and confidence to ride safely and responsibly. They learn how to control their bike, understand basic road safety, and become more aware of their surroundings. Bikeability also encourages regular physical activity, improves coordination and balance, and promotes independence. By learning these skills at a young age, children are better prepared to make safe decisions when cycling, helping them enjoy riding while reducing the risk of accidents.🚲

Preschool 🐭🐍🦉🦊
What a fun and exciting week we have had this week! We started our new topic all about animals which is based around our favourite story ‘the gruffalo’. 🌳
We have been able to retell the story in chronological order when using the gruffalo characters to say some of our favourite phrases ‘A gruffalo, what’s a gruffalo?’. We have created some of our own gruffalo faces, snakes and even had the chance to paint a big gruffalo and mouse.🐭
This week we had some of our favourite visitors come in!! Our mummy’s and daddy’s came to play with us! We got to decorate our own biscuits, play in the shaving foam building towers, decorate junk modelling with different resources and even had them join in with mini movers💃🕺
In our home corner our aunties have made it into a school, as we have started going to our big schools for settling in sessions. We have loved trying on different uniforms and having the chance to play teachers with our friends and aunties👩‍🏫

Sunny smiles and lots of fun in the baby room this week☀😃

This morning preschool have had a visit from the library, we learnt about library’s and that we can get FREE books to take home but remembering to take them back to be able to take another one home 🏠
She read us a story about pirates which we really enjoyed. After the story she let us wear her pirate hat where we could pretend to be a pirate 🏴‍☠️
The lady brought us some activity packs that we get to take home which included: 2 story’s, some colouring head bands and a few nursery rhymes that we get to share with our parents🎵
