Aunties Playhouse Childminding At Aunties Playhouse we offer a homely childminding environment, caring for children from birth-12

Myself and Lorna work together at Aunties Playhouse to provide a fun and friendly environment for all the children we care for. In April 2021 we began converting the garage of our new house (on Argyll Road Fy29tg) into a playroom for the children to enjoy… we can happily say that it is now complete (July 2021) we have started using the new playroom this week and the children and ourselves really love it. We have added a kitchen area, bathroom and small storage room, the playroom also leads out on to the garden area. We will be uploading lots of photos of our new playroom so have a nosey through the photo section to see all of the amazing changes. We have a variety of toys including home corner, construction, stories and puppets, lots of art and creative activities, outdoor play area, sensory toys,
small world, musical toys, educational and more importantly plenty of room for music and dance which the children love at the moment. We provide a wide range of adult led activities and encourage the children to led activities too. We are open from 8.30-5.30 Mon to Fri, we also accept the 2, 3&4 year old nursery education grant and are specialised and experienced in looking after children with additional needs :-) so any questions please feel free to give us a message.

🌞🌙 You might have heard there’s a once in a lifetime solar eclipse tomorrow night!

A partial solar eclipse will be visible from Blackpool, with the Moon passing in front of the Sun and making it look like a little crescent 😎

🕕 The eclipse starts at around 6.12pm
🌑 Peak time: around 7.09pm
🌅 It will finish at around 8.03pm

It’s a brilliant opportunity to get children curious about space and the world around them. Why not use one of the recommended methods to make a viewer to see it (or use a colander!)

❗ Remember to stay safe: NEVER look directly at the Sun, even during an eclipse. Make sure you use proper solar eclipse viewing glasses or another safe indirect viewing method.
