Thank you to those who attending our Father's Day session this morning and we hope you enjoy your movie night treat. The children all had a wonderful time and it was so magical to see. 💚🧡 Meet the Team Monday 🧡💚

Hi my name is Ash and I am the cook at Newhouse Nursery.

It was a bit intimidating when I first joined Newhouse as this was the first time I had worked in childcare, but the children are so warm and welcoming that any fears were soon gone.

The children show their appreciation for the work I do with smiles and high fives. As a cook it is extremely rewarding to hear a child say that they loved the curry, for example, and that I am expanding a child's culinary experience and the possibility that they could be discovering their new favourite food.

It is an honour and a privilege to be part of a child's growth and development as we prepare them for life after the nursery.

✂️✂️ Fine Motor Skills Development ✂️✂️

This week in Preschool, we have been strengthening our fine motor skills and using the scissors and pincers in the play dough.

We enjoyed this activity as it helped us with our scissor control and strengthening our fine motor skills as we prepare for school. We were also able to practice our hand eye co-ordination as well as talking one another about how to safely use our tools in play.
