💚🧡 September 2026 Availability 🧡💚

Are you starting to think about childcare provision for your child in September?

We currently have availability for September across all of our rooms.

Our Nursery Manager and dedicated staff team would love to talk to you about our beautiful nurturing setting, where your little one can embark on their learning journey with us.

We have recently had a refurbishment across the nursery and one of unique selling points is having an expansive garden area, accessible from all rooms. This outdoor space is unique to Newhouse Nursery as it offers our children and staff countless opportunities for engaging in outdoor learning activities, allowing us to immerse ourselves in imaginative play.

We are conveniently situated close to Baines Primary School and St George’s High School. For those using public transport, we are on multiple bus routes within a 2-minute walk of the nursery.

We aim to make every day memorable, with plenty of smiles and a variety of activities all contributing towards intellectual, social, emotional and physical development. Our schedule for each day is designed to let children feel free to be creative, confident and curious.

Contact our amazing enquiry team on 0800 307 0155 and book in for your tour.

💚🚶‍♂️🌳 Exploring our environment 🌳🚶‍♂️💚

We have been enjoying our lovely morning walks in the sunshine, exploring our local community. We use our walks as an opportunity to talk about road safety, looking both ways before crossing the road and also listening for the cars approaching.

We are becoming marvellous mathematician's, recognising numbers on the doors and counting how many cars we can see on the road. We have been spotting different things such as apple trees, cats and buses.

We are very proud of our nursery, we enjoyed speaking about what we like to do whilst we're here and posted leaflets through lots of doors!

💚🧡 Exploring The Community 🧡💚

People and communities play an important part in children's development, so we have been enjoying the sunshine and getting out exploring within the local community and becoming Self Aware Super-Heroes. We have learnt about people and communities and talking about how our own community around Nursery shapes us, thriving in a language rich environment during our walk.

We enjoyed having further opportunities outside of nursery to express ourselves through whole body movements at the park, supporting our physical development as well as being independent individuals, assessing how to use the equipment safely and making good choices.

If you see us when we are out and about, please say hello 🙂

💚World Elephant Day 2026 💚

Today we have been celebrating World Elephant Day!

We learned some interesting facts about elephants, including that elephants are herbivores and do not eat meat. We then discovered how elephants use their trunks to drink, eat, smell and explore their surroundings.

This activity helped to develop the children’s fine motor skills, creativity, hand-eye coordination and understanding of the natural world. It also encouraged language development as the children talked about elephants and shared what they had learned.

🐘World elephant day 2026🐘

This morning we engaged in a fun and engaging activity exploring elephant footprints.

We became Marvellous Mathematicians as we counted the elephants’ legs and ears. We counted how many elephants we had altogether, discovering we had 3 elephants and 5 children, so we had to share the elephants with our friends. We all took turns using the elephants and demonstrated great patience as we each waited our turn.

We have also been Confident Communicators as we independently chose which colour we wanted to use for our elephants. Some of us were able to use longer sentences, such as, “I want to use red" whilst they encouraged the babies to develop their communication skills by using single words such as “red” and “blue.”

It was lovely to see the children developing their mathematical, communication and social skills while having lots of fun together and supporting one another!

💙✈️ Come fly with me ✈️💙

This morning, the babies and toddlers have enjoyed taking part in our aeroplane activity. We were confident communicators as we spoke all about the air show at the weekend and how we could see and hear the planes flying over.

Our marvellous mathematicians said "1..2..3.." before pretending to fly the planes in the sky, the younger babies enjoyed the sensory experience of the paint and the cotton pads, they also enjoyed making marks on the tray with the aeroplanes wheels.
