Little George's Nursery School Blackpool

In Preschool we have been very busy learning about the World Cup. We've designed our own football shirts, painted England flags and had lots of fun exploring our sensory England flag made from foam and coloured rice. We've danced to 'Three Lions' and 'Vindaloo' cheered for our friends when scoring our goals and matched the correct number of balls to the one on the football.
In Nursery room we have been creative painting footballs and England flags and taking turns to be the goalkeeper as our friends try to score goals as we cheer "3, 2, 1 go"

🎒𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 – Focus of the week is 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲

💡Here are some tips to help your child with 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 for starting Reception.

𝗪𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲
🍴 Try to encourage your child to eat meals themselves and to use a knife, fork and spoon.
🍴Encourage them to use their fork to hold the food still whilst you model cutting with a knife.

Try different foods so that they can choose what they would like at school. 🥛🥗🧀

In Preschool our children learn all the skills to become independent and school ready. Best Start in Life have shared some really simple ways to help at home.

Pre school have enjoyed lots if physical activity sessions this week. Dancing with Mini Moverz, exploring how the streamers move and some risky play outside, balancing and jumping.

What a busy few weeks we have had in Nursery. The children have enjoyed watching our tadpoles swim and grow (thank you Charlotte) as we explore the lifecycle of a frog, created cherry blossom pictures, made caterpillars and ladybird paintings using circles and they are helping to plant and grow seeds in the garden.
We hope you all enjoy some time outside in the your gardens or the park over the Bank holiday.

Nursery will be closed on Monday 4 May for the Bank Holiday.
