Healthy Sleeping Habits🌙

We understand that since returning from the summer holidays, getting back into the routine of school can sometimes be tricky — especially when it comes to bedtime and getting enough sleep! 💤

A good night’s sleep is so important for children’s health, wellbeing, mood and learning.

What a wonderful start to the new school year!

A very warm welcome back to all our amazing pupils, families and staff at St Cuthbert’s Catholic Academy. We hope you have all enjoyed a happy, restful and memorable summer break.

Our school is once again filled with smiling faces, laughter, learning and the excitement of new beginnings! We are especially delighted to welcome our new pupils and families to our St Cuthbert’s community — we hope you quickly feel at home. 🏡💙

🌟Morning everybody, a little note from our new headteacher - Mrs Louise Freeman🌟

"I am delighted to be joining the St Cuthbert’s school community and am very much looking forward to meeting the children, families, staff and parish community.
I have been a Headteacher for over 15 years and have had the privilege of leading several Catholic primary schools, including St Modwen’s Catholic Primary School in Burton upon Trent, St Clare’s Catholic Primary School in Coalville, and most recently St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Wesham. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about ensuring that every child is known, valued and supported to achieve their full potential, both academically and personally.

As a Catholic school leader, I believe strongly in the importance of faith, community and high expectations. I am committed to building positive relationships and working in partnership with families, staff and governors to create the very best opportunities for our children. St Cuthbert’s already has many strengths, and I am excited to build upon and continue the excellent work that is already taking place across the school.
On a personal note, I am a proud mother to two children aged 20 and 15, who certainly keep life interesting and remind me daily of the joys and challenges of parenting! I am also the owner of two much-loved dogs, Bruno and Archie, who enjoy long walks and are always happy to accompany me on outdoor adventures.
I feel incredibly privileged to be joining St Cuthbert’s and look forward to working together to ensure our school continues to flourish as a place where every child can learn, grow and thrive.

🌞 Donations Needed for Our Early Years Outdoor Area 🌞

Do you have any outdoor toys or play equipment that your child has outgrown?

Or perhaps some metal or plastic kitchen items (like the ones pictured) that are no longer being used and are taking up cupboard space?

Our Early Years team are developing the outdoor learning environment so that children can make the most of the sunshine while continuing to learn, play, and explore.

If you have any items you would be happy to donate, we would be very grateful if you could leave them at the main school office and let staff know they are for Early Years.

Please ensure that all donated items are clean and in good condition.

Every donation, big or small, is greatly appreciated.
