We are very sorry to announce the postponement of our next concert (23 November) which will now take place on Sunday 22 March. Michael Hall is currently in the Victoria Hospital with sever bronchitis. Due to the length of the illness we are now behind with rehearsals. A punishing catchup rehearsal schedule over the next 10 days followed by concert day is not a serious option. My sincere apologies to everyone. Letting people down is the worst thing ever for me. Mike 😢

Not only has the BKL production of Joseph gone by the board, which gave so much enjoyment and inspiration to our kids, but also, sadly, the man himself, Bill Kenwright has died at 78. Bill had not been well for some years and had brought in a new broom to sweep the company clean. As a consequence lots of the shows we had taken part in were taken off the roll and Joseph itself was taken back by The Really Useful Company, jokingly known as Oxymoron Plc. Also during the dark days of Covid, Henry Metcalfe, the original choreographer and our Jacob and Potiphar, also died. Things will never be the same again: never again will the phone ring at inconvenient times suggesting shows in inconvenient places. Ah! The good old days, gone forever😢

Congratulations to Martha Pailing, a great performance last night at The Old Electric. A lovely family girly night out where we laughed.. and cried a bit too 😂 and a lovely catch up with her and her family to end the evening. Well done sweetie, definitely a name to watch out for!! ❤️

Happy Christmas everyone. Thank you to all the singers, players, children and audience for our Christmas concert on Thursday. It was great to be able to do it again after so long. The highlight of the evening, for me, was the performance of The Shepherd’s Farewell from L’enfance du Christ. It has always had potential in the past but never quite fulfilled my ambition for it. This time it was superb. One of the best pieces of choral singing ever. Well done, all. I’m sorry there is no recording. I have had some brilliant suggestions for next year and I’m working on it already in my head. Have a lovely Christmas. See you soon ⛄️❄️🎄🍾🥂😘
