⚽️ Football Friday!! ⚽️

The children were all so excited to get involved with our new football sessions today! Each Friday morning we will be joined by Aaron from Fleetwood Football Club who teaches the children some football skills. The children absolutely loved the session and demonstrated fantastic listening skills, turn taking and teamwork.

Sessions like these are fantastic ways to develop children’s gross motor skills, balance and coordination along with their listening skills and strengthening their ability to follow instructions.

We can’t wait for next week! ⚽️

Tiny hands, big discoveries! This week we learned about the people who keep our communities safe, healthy, and happy❤️
Building awareness and appreciation for community helpers through play-based learning👩‍🚒👨‍⚕️

The babies have enjoyed dressing up in different uniforms and hats, playing with service vehicles and listening to the sounds they make, using equipment to check on our health such as stethoscopes, bandages and toothbrushes which has helped recognise body parts and finally using our fine motor skills to write postcards and letters, open envelopes and post in our post box! 🥰

A week filled with learning, imagination, and discovering the helpers in our community!

This morning we came in to nursery and had some new faces!
And look at what has happened now, there are peas everywhere in nursery! We need our detectives to catch them all in the morning. 🕵️‍♀️ 🕵️‍♂️

🦷 Dental Health Visit

We were delighted to welcome Better Start Blackpool to our setting this afternoon. The children learned about the importance of brushing their teeth twice a day, making healthy food choices, and visiting the dentist regularly.

The session included fun discussions, demonstrations of correct tooth-brushing techniques, and opportunities for the children to ask questions. The children were engaged throughout and enjoyed learning how to keep their teeth and gums healthy. 🦷 🪥 🧚‍♀️

This visit helped to reinforce positive oral health habits and supported the children's understanding of how to look after their own wellbeing. Thank you for coming! 😁

Today we had Brenda from the lifeboat centre come and visit us, to talk to the children about beach safety, we all learnt that we have to stay close to our parents so we don’t go missing. We also got to practice making a star shape to help us float.
We got to try on some helmets, suits and life jackets 🛟

The babies enjoyed a sensory play this afternoon at Layton library. The weather was lovely for our walk too 😊

As a huge THANK YOU to our parents, for all the lovely testimonies and time taken to talk to Ofsted last week, and for the ongoing support, we have breakfast ready to grab & go this morning. 🥐 🍎
