Today the children enjoyed painting a clear umbrella using a variety of bright colours, exploring different brush strokes and expressing their creativity. They loved working together to create a colourful masterpiece!
Once the painting was finished, the fun continued as the children used spray bottles filled with water to wash the paint away. This gave them the opportunity to strengthen their hand muscles and develop fine motor skills through squeezing the spray triggers, while also exploring cause and effect and enjoying some sensory play.
A simple activity with so many learning opportunities—and plenty of smiles along the way! 💛

Today we had a wonderful visit to the library for a The Very Hungry Caterpillar themed session 🐛📚

The children loved listening to the story together before exploring all of the exciting activities set up around the room. We searched through the sensory tray for creepy crawlies, matched foods from the story, practised counting, and explored colours, nature, and textures through play 🍎🦋🌿

There were lots of smiles, curiosity, and imaginative play throughout the morning, with some of the children even dressing up as beautiful butterflies 🧡💙

Today we had so much fun with our spray bottle colour activity! The children loved spraying the water and watching the colours drip and mix together. While they were playing, they were also building their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration and creativity, as well as exploring simple science through cause and effect. Such a lovely hands-on sensory activity with lots of excitement and curiosity.

Today has been all about BUBBLES!!
We loved playing in bubbles and watching them flying everywhere and loved blowing in the straws to make coloured bubbles and print them onto paper.

Yesterday the children enjoyed another visit to the Glen Tanar, they planted sunflowers and loved seeing the ducklings.
