And Sunday it was party detail again for Finn's birthday party in Longmeanygate.
He was so obviously an animal person from the minute I met him... what a little super star. And he was really fabulous with all of the animals I took.
Bryan the chinchilla was a favourite with a few, but Moomin was also a little preferred. Mad madam Mimmsy will be shedding her skin soon so will look all utterly fabulous again for the next visits we do.
Thank you to Finn and his friends, his brother, mum and dad for having me along and being just wonderful.

Following on from the arrival of the new sweet additions, we all (minus the joeys) went into full party mode and went to see the very beautiful Madelein and all of her fabulous friends for a very lovely birthday party.
Little Mads was amazing with all of the animals and I think some of her friends, who were a little bit reluctant to touch a few of the critters, we're a little converted at the end. Thank you for having me and the animals along.

A full day in a school you say...???
A full day with the wonderful Reception and Year one Classes of Brunshaw Primary School in Burnley? Yes please!
So that's how we spent yesterday. A full day with some very brave, very fabulous little foundation stage children.
What a day I had... I hope the children enjoyed it, even though Moomin was very very naughty when be went on a special visit to see the children in their classrooms....

Can't believe it's been a week already that I went to see the Beavers and Scouts at first Thornton pack.. the first session was the little Beavers getting all brave and hands on with all of the critters and learning what makes an animal, an animal. A great way to start the evening...
Then onto the scouts, who were a bit more reserved but amazing just the same.
A lovely evening with them all and a few familiar faces amongst the crowd as well.

No birthday parties undertaken for me and the animals this weekend add i was too busy breaking myself at Born Survivor Ribble Valley 2026. All done in aid of Rosemere Cancer Foundation who treated my mum before she died in 2018 from the awful thief that is cancer.
12km over rugged terrain, with 30 obstacles in between... and I'm rapidly approaching 47 and didn't do any training at all.
(I only signed up to do it 2 weeks before on a whim...)

But i did it.
I completed it.

And as my uber competitive brain won't allow, I ran it and did it in the best time I could.
If anyone has had any relatives or friends who have beg treated at Rosemere, then we all know what an essential service and support it provides, at sometimes, the worst time of people's lives.
Any donations any of my wonderful critter followers would like to give to this amazing charity Foundation week be very greatly received...

For the second party session of today I had the best little helper I could possibly wish for.
It was Ralph's 5th birthday... and Ralph loves animals.
I had an utterly fabulous hour, and with Ralph's help all of his friends got to see some animals they might not have seen before.
A huge thank you to Ralph's mum, dad, famil and friends for being so brilliant, and making me so welcome. And i got an ice cream too!!! Thank you

Just finished a fab party session with George and his pals at his home... what a very calm, animal person George was. He loved all of the animals, with his favourite being Moomin the owl i think.
Huge thank you to George and to all of his family and friends for having me and the animals along to celebrate your birthday.

I haven't posted in ages... things are afoot at hq.
A new animal containment facility is being ordered, and there's a lot of groundwork to do before it gets erected...

This morning I had the pleasure of the company of St Bernadettes nursery in Bispham, who were, had to be said, utterly charming.
What a great way to spend a Monday morning being told all of the children's holiday plans. I think Mistrel the rabbit was the absolute fave today.
