Some of our KS4 pupils have been busy at College, developing practical skills and exploring different vocational pathways!
From learning how to tile in Construction 🧱, to cooking up a storm in the kitchen 👨‍🍳, and creating their own pencil tidy in Woodwork 🔨- - there has been lots of hands-on learning and plenty of opportunities to build confidence and independence.It’s fantastic to see our pupils learning new skills, trying new things and preparing for their futures! ✨

5J have been out and about in the local community, delivering letters to local businesses to spread the word about The Oracle’s Christmas Enterprise Market! 🎅 Each student had the opportunity to deliver their letter and speak directly to a business owner, explaining that we are holding our Christmas Enterprise Market in December and asking local businesses if they would be able to donate a prize for our raffle. 🎁 It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to put their communication and confidence skills into practice, engaging with members of the community and representing our school brilliantly!

Learning Through Language and Phonics!📚 Some of our KS1 children have been busy developing their positional language! They took turns giving instructions and using positional words to test their peers - a fantastic way to practise their communication and listening skills. The children have also been working hard on writing their names and recognising and practising five different phonics sounds. 🔤✏️

In Topic, 2G have been learning about the role of a judge and what makes a consequence reasonable. They loved dressing up in the judge’s wig and costume before coming to the front to give their final decision - guilty or not guilty? Well done, 2G! Fantastic role play and some very serious-looking judges! ⭐

1H had a fantastic time taking their Maths learning outdoors! They headed to the water tray, where they enjoyed singing 5 Little Ducks and helping their ducks swim down the slide. 🎶🦆As they played, they were busy developing their counting skills - counting how many ducks they could see, how many were left each time, and even working out how many jugs of water it would take to fill the bowl! 🔢 🦆We loved seeing our little mathematicians learning through play!

Brown Bear, Brown Bear… What Can You See? The children in 1N had lots of messy and educational fun as they explored the colours of the different animals from the story. They poured the colours into a tuff tray before using cars and their hands to create lots of different patterns! 🚗🖐️🎨 A fantastic sensory learning experience, helping our pupils to explore colours, patterns, textures and creativity while having lots of fun along the way! 🐻

5M put our freshly harvested carrots to delicious use! 🥕 Using the remaining carrots from our allotment, the group followed a tick-sheet recipe to create some tasty homemade cookies.Everyone worked together to follow the steps, practise their independence and, of course, enjoy the delicious results! A fantastic way to turn our allotment harvest into a tasty treat! 🍪 🥕

3O really enjoyed spending time in our Sensory Room, exploring the different equipment to support regulation, calmness and wellbeing.
It was also a lovely opportunity for pupils to spend time together, develop friendships and enjoy positive shared experiences. A calm space, happy moments and lots of wonderful friendship-building!
