Blossom Tree Childcare Ofsted registered childminder offering fun, safe, home from home childcare. I aim to offer children a fun safe environment to play & learn in.

Hi, My names Emma, I live with my Husband and two sons in the Knuzden area of Blackburn. I hold certificates in Paediatric first aid, Safeguarding Lv 1 & 2 and I am DBS cleared. My play room offers a wide selection of easy accessible, fun and educational resources for children of all ages. We also enjoy music time, story time, baking and crafts. We have a safe, secure and well maintained garden with lots of outdoor toys and equipment including a slides, playhouse, sand/water play, bikes, etc. I encourage outdoor play on a daily basis, we also enjoy digging in the mud & planting. I like to encourage as many social experiences as possible, we visit various parks, libraries, play centres and various playgroups on a weekly basis. I offer well balanced nutritional meals & snacks. Its National Space week. We had lots of fun scooping, pouring and emptying in our space theme sensory tray. The girls enjoyed playing with the rockets . We made star biscuits which were yummy and at story time Emma read 'whatever next' all about a bear who went to visit the moon. Yes I have a colander on my head its my space helmet😃.

Busy Tuesday. Dinosaur play which encourage lots of different vocabulary. We talked about which dinosaur had big spikes or smooth backs, if they were big/small, heavy or light. We built lots of different towers with the logs and found the numbers to practice number recognition all working towards our next steps. We visited dance and used lots of gross motor skills.
We have also done some great leaf, pumpkin and toadstool printing .

Today are swimming session was all about food.
We had to pretend to be pancakes and flipping from front to back.
Next we had to collect all the ice-creams and put them in the correct coloured baskets.
Then we had to use strong arms to roll our meat balls across the pool.
Finally we had to hold our pretzels and kick our legs as hard as we could.
Today we also used the shark fins to bring our legs up and keep our bodies as flat as we could.

Busy Tuesday. We started with some conker rolling, mixing all the Autumn colours together. We have also been working on colour recognition and colour sorting working towards next steps. We then took at trip to playgroup and had fun with our friends.
At story time Emma read "Stickman The Pumpkin Hunt" and we found all the hidden pumpkins. Autumn bags are being sent home this evening, I'm looking forward to seeing all your treasures 😀.
