I am a qualified Chartered Accountant and have had to deal with maths my entire life. I have spent many years of my spare time giving tuition to my cousins , nieces and nephews.

The feedback I have had from my students is that they think I have a excellent way of explaining maths techniques to them, using visual aids and examples. I work one to one, at the pace of each individual student. I understand everyone has there own level of ability and attempt to identify the reasons why they find maths is a difficult subject. Having targeted the problem I work with the student to resolve their issues.

I diversify my teaching methods depending upon the needs of the student, as their requirements are unique. I have loved maths from when I was a teenager and believe with the correct mentoring anyone is able to enjoy and succeed at this subject. I think people find maths difficult because they have not been taught the subject properly. Therefore I explain to my students that maths is logical and methodical, if we learn the rules you can deal with any topic.

My main objective is to make maths accessible to everyone. Seeing as maths is a core subject and to continue in further education, it is essential to have a reasonable understanding of maths. I have worked with children from primary schools, up to GCSE's.
