Myerscough College Witton Country Park Campus Blackburn

Myerscough College Witton Country Park Campus Blackburn Myerscough College Witton Park Campus is a unique place to study if you want a career within the animal industry.

A wide range of academic courses, from NPTC Level 1's to BTEC Level 3's in Animal Studies, are offered providing a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on practical experience whilst gaining a full time qualification. GCSE subjects in Maths and English are taught to any student who has not achieved a Grade C at school, alongside the animal studies programme. The animal collection gives each student an excellent grounding and preparation for the working environment or higher education. The facilities have been developed to provide habitats for the following species to enrich the students' educational level of programme, including:-

Rabbits, rodents, reptiles, amphibians, fish, invertebrates, poultry, aviary birds and exotic mammals. Links with the local working farm increases opportunity to work with larger breeds such as sheep, cows, pigs and horses. Respect for the individual and for each other is key to our success, creating a happy and caring environment where each student is treated equally and fairly.

😥Sad day today at Witton campus.

Please leave a heart ❤️ in the comments to say goodbye to Fraz & rest in peace. 😘

Unexpected after an unsettled night Charlotte had to say the hardest goodbye to Fraser this morning. 😭

🙂He was such a gentle soul & the gentleman of the Witton pack.

After roaming the streets in Romania, in February 2022 Charlotte had him brought over & fostered him 🤩. This allowed him to live his life as dog should & have so many brilliant new experiences.

👍He made his first friend Biscuit & made many more besties, he got bandaged many times, health checked by students, happily socialised with others on walks, loved any attention, attended many Xmas student parties, paid his respects on rememberence days & loved his camper van trips to see otters, eagles, puffins in Scotland, plus many more trips. 👌

🥰Thank you Fraz for allowing students to learn so much from you. We will miss you. 😢
