So far this week in Sycamore Class we have enjoyed creating some fantastic pointillism art in Computing. In Geography we have been learning the names of the 5 Oceans and where they are in the world. We created our own map of the world and looked at how large bodies of water are separated by countries.

🔢🎲 Maths fun in Hazel Class! 🎲🔢

Hazel Class explored dominos and rolled a die to practise comparing numbers. We looked carefully at the spots on the domino and worked out whether they were more than, less than or the same as the number we rolled.

The children enjoyed counting, comparing and explaining their thinking as they played. Lots of fantastic mathematical language and reasoning! 🌟👏

Our Reception children didn't let the rain stop them on Friday, instead they let the rain inspire them. The children talked about different ways to keep dry, eventually discussing shelters. We then searched for a range of materials and got to work. We tested if our shelter was waterproof and then rewarded ourselves with a delicious hot chocolate and a biscuit for all of our hard work.
Great job Reception, you are all superstars ☺️

What another fantastic but very busy week in school.

In school we talk to the children that is ok to make mistakes because you can learn from them. That might be a mistake when reading a word... or adding two number together... or when taking a photo of the children who have won a Golden Award that week!!! Sorry grown-ups... I will learn from my mistake and do better next week.

As ever if your child has a medal, certificate, trophy or badge please can they bring it to school on a Friday so we can celebrate their success with them.

Have a great weekend!

Nursery 📚🖌️🎨🖍️

The children have all settled into the life of Nursery and they have been getting to know the grown ups, their friends and the learning environment. Over the last few weeks we have been learning to follow our school rules, how to play in each area and how to look after our classroom. Here are some photos from our time in Nursery so far and we can't wait to show you all the learning and fun we get up to throughout the year. ☺️
