Year 2 had a wonderful trip to Blackburn Library for the Literary Festival where they met poet and children’s author Rappaman. He inspired us with his message about Respect All People and shared some of his poems.

Learning times tables is a really important skill and helps to build confidence in all areas of maths!

KS2 Maths: The Times Tables Mash-up with Bartley Bluebird & Wolfie Wolf Join Cardiff City mascot Bartley Bluebird and Wolverhampton Wanderers mascot Wolfie Wolf, for a song and routine combining the times tables! The mascots have got questions on the 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 and 12 times tables.

Some great holiday challenges here from Blackburn Children's University, why not give some a try?!

Two of our Y6 children enjoyed practising ready for exhibiting Mr Smith’s goats at Great Harwood Show on Bank Holiday Morning. Everyone is welcome to come and support them! 🐐

Our KS2 children also had a lovely day celebrating David Attenborough’s 100th birthday on Friday 🌿🐘

They spent the day making animal biscuits, creating their own fossils and enjoying a walk to Witton Park. The children had lots of fun while learning more about animals and the environment 🌎

The children spent the day enjoying lots of nature-inspired activities including planting a garden, learning about animals, completing nature scavenger hunts and lots more. It was wonderful to see their excitement and curiosity as we celebrated such an inspiring person 🌎
