The Old Vicarage Nursery

I'm incredibly proud of our staff and this is well deserved praise from just one of our lovely families who placed their trust in us. 🥰🫶💞

"I just wanted to send a quick email to say thank you to everyone at The Old Vicarage for all that they have done for F. Putting your trust in strangers with your baby is incredibly difficult, but every single member of staff at nursery made the whole process so much easier. All I have ever felt is genuine care for F and how he has developed over his time at nursery, learning what he has and being as ready as he is for school is down to all the staff. Right through from yourself, Nicola and all the practitioners.

I have a very special thank you for Chloe, who has been an incredible support for F throughout his nursery journey as she's been with him in every room. She has been a special figure in F's life and I know he'll miss her very much. F has been through many changes in his short life, and Chloe has always been there to offer a supportive cuddle, opportunity to talk and just generally be there for F. She has taught him so much, and we're so grateful.

All the staff have been amazing and are a credit to the nursery. The one saving grace is that it isn't a permanent goodbye from us as E continues her nursery journey, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to pass on our heartfelt gratitude for all that has been done for F. It will never be forgotten."

Superheros need to make sure they are flexible and strong so we did a bit of yoga in the garden. 🧘☯️

Preschool celebrated the end of summer term with a superhero party! 🦸🦸‍♀️

Graduation is underway and all of the children and our lovely families have been enjoying themselves.

Such a bitter sweet time of the year 🎓🫶

We are looking forward to welcoming our families to this years Preschool formal cap and gown graduation ceremony tomorrow, Saturday 11th July 2026.

11:00am : Prompt arrival for children followed by graduation party and games
11:45am : Parent’s arrival
12:00noon : Formal graduation
12:40pm : Party buffet & photo opportunities
1:30pm : Latest Departure

As part of Mental Health Week, the baby room have been exploring wellbeing through a variety of calming and meaningful activities. ✨

From sensory water and foam play, story time and exploring emotions with our emotion dolls, to children copying yoga moves, looking at our new family board, we’ve been encouraging children to express their feelings, build connections, and simply enjoy being in the moment. ☯️🧘‍♀️

We hope all of our Nursery Family had a happy and relaxing Valentine's weekend.

In the build up, our Toddlers were feeling the love all last week, joining in with different activities to get ready for Valentine’s Day! We took part in painting, gluing and sticking, mark making and scooping hearts in the water tray!

We also joined in with Nursery's ‘Red and Pink Day'!🩷💌❤️
