Congratulations to all our certificate winners and Meadowhead Heroes this week. A recurring theme this week was team work. πŸ™Œβ
4S were the class with the best attendance and are the first class to lift our new attendance trophy! From what they've told me, I've got a feeling they're not going to loosen their grip on it...πŸ™ŒπŸŽ‰

Year 4 had a wonderful time at The Brockholes. They explored the area using maps and compasses, worked in teams to create maps from natural resources and completed some pond dipping, finding an endangered species - a Great Crested Newt.πŸ˜ƒ.
There was even time for some fun on the park. πŸ˜ƒ

Year 5 had a fantastic day at Blackpool Zoo yesterday. They took part in workshops and walked around the zoo visiting all the animals. Thankfully the weather was mostly dry! πŸ¦πŸ…

Some lovely examples of children's learning. They have been working so hard to improve their presentation and its really showing! Our Year 5s have been using inspired by Cai Guo-Qiang to design and create their own art pieces focusing on space and scale.

SATs assessments are always a challenging and demanding week for Year 6 pupils, as they are so different from what the children are used to. This week, however, our Year 6 pupils have taken everything in their stride. They have shown determination, worked incredibly hard, and done their very best. While we all know that SATs do not define our Year 6 children, we are incredibly proud of the positive attitude, resilience, and dedication they have shown throughout the week.

One of the highlights of the week has been how much the children have enjoyed starting each day by having breakfast together, sharing time with their friends, and supporting one another before each test. These special moments have helped create a sense of togetherness.

Today was a chance to reset, relax, and have some well-deserved fun β€” and what better way to celebrate than with their leaving hoodies and ice cream!🍦🍧

It was great to see so many children recognised for their hard work this week. Something that really stood out today was the amount of children really celebrating their friends earning a certificate! Well done to our certificate winners and Meadowhead Heroes! βπŸŽ‰
